Now, all the lol games and piss simulators will hopefully slowly start to die away

Benefits of the system

• Games that do not work from PC or developer failure can be refunded.
• Bad games can be refunded and developers feel the pain
• People who buy unity asset pack resales can rescue their wallets
• People who buy them keys and do not want them can save their wallets.
• People can buy bad games, play for a hour, say how bad it is and get a refund because it is bad.
• You can now get your money back instead of having that shit game sit on your library, sitting there... Mocking you...
• All good!

Disadvantages of the system

Disadvantage: The money you spent goes into the steam system. You'll never get your money back, only "store credit"

This. There are games that are very short (and obviously cost a lot less). Some maybe be able to beat or almost beat the game and do a refund.

They should put a disclaimer that you can't ask for refund if you completed the game. It'd be fairly easy to check as well I think.

Could we even profit? If you ask refund from games from Humble Bundle, they can't know how much you paid. I usually actually steer all money toward the devs of the couple games I buy the pack for.

Same applies to greenman etc, if you buy discount… maybe works only for stuff bought through steam?

Steam has implemented the rule that they will not refund games you purchase from third parties. Such as kinguin and humble bundle. You have to buy them directly from steam yourself.

Although they will let you refund a game even if it is currently on sale, although you lose the right to refunds if you exploit that.

Also, Humble Bundle is not a store, it's a donation platform. You don't buy games, you give money to an organization and they give you keys provided for free by developers... At least that's how I hope it works, ddifferences between donation taxes and sales taxes.

I ever wonder if I could ask for a (state) taxes reduction with HB donations : in France, you can ask for something like 75% deduction from your donation to your taxes report. ... NVM I just found this official page saying that i can't ask for it if there is a counterpart to my donation

Humble Bundle has a store since a while. The bundles I never questioned how they worked, but I always addressed the money to devs.

anyway was just curious if they had the third party possible mess covered
