    Man this just reminded me how fucking big all the buildings are in NYC.

    About the gates, I'm surprised nobody has torn any of them off yet or tagged them with graffity.

    Cool pix.

    they're already gone now....but i did get a piece of one of the flags (a guy was giving them out)

    it really is such a retarded concept but SO many people were at the park. i think what really did it for me was realizing just how many gates there were.....there had to be at least 300

    Gates at parks in London are nicer

    Yeah, NYC is pretty darn real that it's surreal... if that makes sense. I was there back in April.

    Looks fun, but Christo is still probably the worst artist alive.

    I don't get it. The gates look out of place and trashy :\ It would have the same 'wow effect' if it was 300 of anything.

    Didn't it cost a million dollars too D;

    If you go to like Hungary or the Czech Republic you can see 300 hookers lined up like that by the border.

    Please resize. Having to use the horizontal scroll bar weirds me out.

    the gates made over 250 million dollars in revenue, so it kinda canceled out the 22 million spent to raise them

    LOL, I hate designs/sculptures like that, such a stupid concept and they are always wildly overpriced. For example...

    If some work of art needs a story or explaination to get it's value, it's not good. At least that's how i see it. Art needs to explain why it has value itself.

    i love them. Theyre marvellous pieces of art with strong contrast to the surroundings. Also the position in which theyre placed is pure beauty.

    Ofcourse the money should have been sent to the easterquake victims before this whole project even began

    They make a pretty picture, nothing more. Art has to be more than just a pretty picture
