What do you think about the new look?

I think the design looks better and more modern on an astetic perspective, but due to the missing tableborders between topics and post the readability is suffering. I would suggest adding some kind of border, or change the background of every second topic/post to a light grey, so the posts become more easily distiguishable.

Also fix this EX2, it is getting annoying...

I like it. It'll take a bit of getting used to but I think it's a good change!

    I like it.

I'd say that needs a little bit more contrast, posts have a bit too much whitespace now.

Functionality wise, on mobile you can feel the absence of the "big target" solution, now you must tap the topic title to get into it, while before the whole row was tappable. It's something that can be enabled via plugins often.

I think the windows when browsing a thread could use some more contrast. Right now every post looks like a continuation of every other post a little bit

    Yeah I'm liking it.

As already mentioned, a bit of colour variation between posts would be nice

Good job as always, Thrik! <3

I keep getting this too but it seems to go away randomly.

After a closer look I do really like the new style and everything else they've added, but it might be a tad too zoomed in

Got exactly the same problem. It happens randomly but it's kinda annoying. If I refresh the page, it's gone.

What do you mean? It's still there both on top and on the bottom of the page.

It appears on the computer but not on my phone though.

However I have another issue, it signs me off automatically and when I try to sign in again, my password isn't valid anymore and it's not because I have forgotten it, since I had to reset it this morning..

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I can't really respond individually to everyone for now but I am taking all thoughts on board, and once the more major issues have been resolved I'll be making various design tweaks after the initial shock has worn off. Colours are relatively easy to adjust and we're mostly on defaults right now, but it's low priority.

With that said, the lack of distinction between posts was bothering me so I just slightly increased the darkness of the borders, and may take it a bit further once my eyes adjust. I've also disabled the articles feed in the sidebar until this evening because it was causing the crashes for reasons yet to be determined.

I know that the design is a shift, so I apologise to those who aren't so keen on it. Unfortunately the upgrade wasn't avoidable because software moves on (it's the same software as before), and the difference is significantly less than that with our last big upgrade — which lots of us also wanted to undo and revert to the previous version.

@laminutederire The new update requires logging in with your email address or your display name, so be aware of that if you previous changed your display name so that it was different to your username. You now need to use either the name that appears in the forums or your email address. If you still encounter issues, try deleting all your MapCore cookies because there could be a conflict with the old ones.

Also, I just learnt you can do Twitter @mentions, haha.

This might sound a little patronising (it's not meant to), but if you zoom out using your browser things might look a bit more to your taste. Because the new software update is responsive, it reacts better to different screen sizes and levels of zoom — so things should still look fine if you zoom out, which will bring things closer together and reduce the text size.

Thrik thanks but it appears it is the other way around for me but I can log on with my username only but it works so perfect!

Great job by the way, minor tweaks appart it is great

But as I mentioned, the possibility to go the last page is present in the computer version but not in the mobile version, just like in this screenshot.

The forum does decide itself which features to hide to help fit onto small screens. It's not perfect so I'll look into making tweaks. Jumping to the last page is a pretty useful one so I'll investigate that when I can.

I think it's a great update, I didn't really feel the need for it but it looks cool. I can not wait to see the new features.

Also, how can I add a beautiful image in my profile like you did ? ^^
