Haven't yet played the first one :-/ I was tempted to install the other day but postponed as I was feeling the need for something casual. Also checking footage again, I was really bothered by the first-third person switch.

The art looks stunning again. Sci-fi nerds paradise.

A good measure of whether or not you might like the game is if you like Metal Gear Solid. Human Revolution definitely took a lot of cues from that series, and if played stealthily the two are remarkably similar in many ways. The storytelling and amount of dialogue/reading material also makes it ideal for the kind of people who can appreciate MGS.

If you haven't played MGS then all I can really say is that Human Revolution is probably one of a few games that comprise the absolute pinnacle of the last generation and games in general, and is an essential experience for any one likes shooting or stealth games of any description. It also escalates to some absolutely amazing environments later on in the game.

Ye never played MGS, tried the first one on pc but despite doing the tutorials couldn't get past the first room lol* XD it was too much of an awkward old game after being used to Splinter Cell.

I do love stealth so no doubt I'll play it, I have bought it after all, just I would have preferred they had sticked to one perspective. Bring Jensen such a cool character I would say is like to see him 100% the time on screen. Plus all reviews were saying fps is a bit awkward there and not executed flawlessly

*since now it's multi platform is very likely I'll play the new one, the first demo they showed in the desert reminded me of the stealth sandbox I was dreaming about when 13

Well, I can't stand MGS but I loved Deus Ex: HR. I'd recommend giving it a go, you'll be able to get it dirt cheap now.

Yeah I already got it at least 1 year ago in a Steam Sale, along the DLCs

Problem is having the time to play, first I feel the need of something brainwashy that I can pick up for half hour, secondly I have started already many games without getting through much. Like I played a lot of FC4 in jan-feb and haven't touched since I escaped the prison on the cliff.

No, it's 2016. The same as with Human revolution, CGI exactly one year before release, at least that's what i'm putting my money on

I wish... Oh well, I always wanted to replay DX:HR so this is a good opportunity to do it. I picked up the Directors cut, which includes the DLCs and fixed bosses.

    Yup,

and it just happens to be named the missing link.

It's also integrated into the Director's Cut edition.

I just realised this was released in 2011. Fuck sake where does the time go. I coulda sworn I played this no longer than 2013.

    I can't stand getting older.

I just came to terms that the nineties weren't ten years ago when it hit me that great movies like Batman Begins, Sin City, V for Vendetta and The Descent, plus the Xbox 360, F.E.A.R and Call of Duty were all released 10 years ago. FML right?

rotfl... as funny and sarcastic as this is, I seriously hope they fix this. I'm replaying DX:HR right now, and seriously man, the way they manage augmentation power is not ideal, I hope they bring the Bioelectric Cell back from DX1 along with a full battery bar in percentage!

I'd also love to see that shitty health regen bar gone and revert back to this:

Also, new video is up, talking about the world of DX

Probably my top sequel I've been waiting for aside from Mirror's Edge.

I was really enjoying replaying Deus Ex, using stealth this time round, until I got to the first boss. I fucking hate the boss fights in this game. I've stopped playing it now
