I know running a service like this isn't free, and I guess they weren't making enough money to keep it going with the old pay alternatives. But doing this http://kotaku.com/quake-live-fan…eroo-1739068130seem like a weird solution. Or maybe they just want more dollar

I don't care if they charge 10 bucks for it, super nice to see the workshop. But removing all my amazing stats what the fuck!

Apparently if you've associated your steam account with the game before this switch, then you don't have to buy it. I checked last night and it was fine.

I'm not too bothered by my stats, now I'll just have better averages!

It also has a workshop so now you can put your maps on there (after tweaking, fixing and recompiling of course)

Too bad it's already infested by thieving lamers

I played a little the past two days or so. First was FFA running old rules (no loadouts), having any weapon was very rare. Then I joined about 5 arena servers, none of them let me actually play the game. Then I started up Reflex and had fun.

Maybe they should focus on making QL playable again.
