He wasn't though. He was a serious alcohol and substance abuser throughout his career. He was in rehab multiple times, all because he suffered serious depression and dealt with it through said substance abuse. It was all just a face. I imagine behind closed doors he was completely different to how we knew him. I've dealt with serious depression through my life but I don't think I'd ever go as far as killing myself. I've thought about it several times but I don't think I could ever go through with it. I've never reached that "point" yet like he did. I don't think I want to know what could push him so far that he would actually do it, either. It really bothered me hearing this news.

I grew up with his movies and even though I almost forgot about him, I was shocked when I read that he´s dead.

Should have said "who appeared to be funny and upbeat" I wasn't aware of the troubles of his private life, it seems to be a recurring thing with comedians according to some...
