I voted Source, because it's the engine me and a lot/most people know best, but I'm glad UE4 is following up really close (only 1 vote behind atm). Would be great to see what the Core could produce on UE4 and will probably inspire some people to try out UE4

Oh, what happens in case of a tie?

This! I would love to see what Mapcore could do in UE4. The stuff you guys manage in Source is awesome!
I decided I wanted to learn UE4 before this thread was brought up and I've tried to learn something new each day so far. It is a lot of fun to use. I agree, it was daunting at first. You load it up and there's all these new windows and menus you've never seen before. But after following a few tutorials it really isn't that scary. Most of the engine is context sensitive. Meaning, whatever you have selected the engine will probably know (or at least make a best guess) what you want to do with it.
So far I've followed a tutorial and made a small office scene. It took about an hour and half to follow and create the whole scene:

(None of the assets are mine, it's all Unreal stuff.)
Additionally I've learnt how to create moving doors, toggle-able lights, changing colours of objects, level and class blueprints, a flashlight attached to a character, and assigning a button to turn that flashlight on and off. It's been a lot of fun!
I have a video on my Twitch account of UE4. Was showing my friend what it could do the other day. It's just me going flying around some of the demos and looking around different parts of the engine. http://www.twitch.tv/ren182/b/549431769
Basically, let's all learn this engine together?

Well, this poll certainly made two things clear:
- The Core loves both Source and UE4. It's pretty even.
- The Core doesn't really love anything else

Anyway, we got lots of info from this. Thank you all for taking the time to vote and voice your opinions. Be on the look out for future announcements!

I just changed my vote from Source to UE4 to even things out even more BTW.

Cool, could you give a link to the thread? I presume that's for the new open-source unreal tournament?
