Really excited to see what they do with it. But a small black part of my heart is also crying out because if they do a good job I won't be able to lord my original copy over people like the gold dust it is.
RockPaperShotgun speculated that Sony would only fund the reboot (or refurb? spit-job? tune-up?) if Double-Fine announced the PS/Vita versions a month before all the others, as the PC (et al.) confirmation came out exactly a month after the initial announcement. If this is true it just goes to reaffirm my disdain for proprietary platforms, even if it's a mostly harmless dick-move in this particular case.
Awesome!! I never played Grim Fandango, and I can't wait to try this version. I got a copy a few years ago, and it ran like shit on my computer and looked awful, so I didn't bother. I didn't want to ruin my first time playing it. Excited
