I haven't wanted to play a CoD game since MW2. But I'm actually somewhat interested in this, the action sequences in the trailer show a load of cool gadgets, and if you get to use those in even slightly free-form game-play scenarios I'd probably pick this up. I'm also a huge fan of the near future setting.

Oh wow, have you guys seen House of Cards? If you have, you're either gonna love this trailer or hate it for what it's trying to do. xD

Looks good tho, very sci-fi which I like.

TBH then I think the chance of me getting this depends very much on how the Q3-Q4 release schedule ends up looking this year

It will be interesting to see if Sledgehammer Games can bring something new to the table, at least in terms of SP (always seemed like they were very SP focused)

Also another thing to add is that Kevin Spacey was hugely in favour of Netflix, he did a big talk about it, I think it got linked on here a while ago actually. So for him to end up doing a game like this just seems like the logical next step.

i wasn't saying he was desperate for work, but suggesting that he's going for the easier cashflow of showing up for one or two days for commercial and voicework.

also, i agree it's high quality voicework. i just miss his talents on the feature film end of things.

    Impressive trailer, undeniably!

My first thought was "Crysis" as well, it's unfortunate that thanks to their brand image they're gonna get the mp follow for the same kind of gameplay.

Graphics are improved, but you can see the gap there is to other top dogs, but it seems it can make it up with over-the-top action.

Genuinely interested to try it since first MW.

Impressive performance from Kevin, but also feels cheap and overused, I would have preferred/liked someone else that would make it feel fresher, instead of a copy/paste from a TV show.

I shared the trailer on fb and tagged a friend that got fanatic of Spacey after House Of Cards, and she said: "i don't want to watch this movie".

And here we are talking about shitty/stunning some videogame looks, when to a person from the street this can be mistaken for live footage(?).

(Actually writing this reminded me when I was watching the intro of Doom 3 and my mother entered the room and said "these things really start to look like movies!")

I dunno.. is it good thing that some people would buy this only for the sake Kevin Spacey (and other celebrities Call of Doody franchise has been having)? It just sounds weird how games aren't selling by gameplay but by something else. Whatever, I'm gonna let this game pass anyway.

    Also, ICS's image is spot-on.

If you aren't asking yourself why Kevin Spacey needs to be in a video game, you're crazy

So I've been a long standing Call of Duty fan. COD1 was one of the first multiplayer games I played at lan parties and I've owned every one except for the most recent two. This one looks quite refreshing and seems to have distanced itself the fartherst from modern times than any of the recent ones, which is in my opinoin a great sign. The mulitplayer generally only varies in degrees of what class of weapons are overpowered and how powerful the kill streaks are but this time around they show characters "super jumping" and Spider-Man like wall climbing which gives me hopes that the maps will be opened up to new ways to traverse vertical surfaces and hopefully accomidate new a new playstyle. This is also the first COD by Sledgehammer I'll be playing. In the past I have not been a fan of Infinity Wards multiplayer contributions to the series but have always enjoyed Treyarcs. I hope Sledgehammer also does well in this regard and I'll have 2 good COD's to look foward to instead of one.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Uses Version of "Avatar 2" Facial Animation System

Sledgehammer Games using system powered by the same tech that will be used to produce James Cameron's upcoming movie.

    MP footage.

The funny thing is, this is actually looking like it may be a bit of a departure from the standard CoD-fare (not saying if this new take is good or bad). But, that might be the thing that actually creates a problem, because a large part of the CoD playerbase probably don't like change (deep-down) nor all this "sci fi mumbojumbo". Will be interesting to see if they embrace this stuff or not.

    BF4 "Levolution"

    + Titanfall (without Titans)

    + Crysis' Nanosuit

    + Little bit typical CoD
