I had a Peugeot 106 with ~360 000 km, same kind of car as a Clio. I think a Clio is a good cheap car.
What's going on with your life?

I must say that I have access to really kind and wonderful teachers at my uni. I'm going to take a hell lot more time to pass all the courses that I have to in ordern to get the degree, but they understand that some students happen to need more time or aren't that brilliant at math and physics. There are many cases where I study of students that get depressed or something bad happen that they are forced to stop attending the uni at all for some time, but they are able to return later because there are rules that deal with such special cases.
Luckly, I'm not obsessed with perfect grades.

Cherish that, it's unfortunately not an international standard
my school in France was exactly like yours, we had support and we were treated as capable people, but then I had the weird idea to do a double degree in Switzerland where I have the worst teachers I've ever seen pedagogically speaking, so many people are depressed and the university still finds it a non-issue. Trust me you'll learn greatly and be happy to study and that's gold

This year is so much better than last, finally sold my broken car and leased a KIA Cee'd.
Beer, sunshine, dental plan, no more pain or anxiety. Oh , and i also stopped doing Snus, (nicotine shit you put under your lip, one snus has as much nicotine as 4 ciggarettes).
Went to a car wrapping course last two days also, so now im one of the best!

Man, I'm really glad to hear you're doing better @Tisky
Keep it up!

I broke my wrist 6 weeks ago and had surgery, got 11 screws in that sucker. Which also mean that I've been off work for 6 weeks and it's been driving me crazy. Doing my final check-up on monday, hoping that it healed up nicely and that I can properly start my physio and get back into some sort of shape again.
X-rays in the spoiler in case anyone is too sensitive to that kinda stuff.
Oh and I'm trying to by an apartment. Not enjoyable to be honest.

Fuck that sucks man... how did it happen?
-
I was biking on my single speed bike, pedaling like crazy and my rear wheel locked in some cobble stone, so basically I pulled my rear wheel slightly out of the dropout and the chain popped off. Foot slipped off in front of the pedal and I kinda crashed into my own leg sending me flying over the handlebars. All in a split second.
-
Fuck man, that's scary as hell! I had a hairline crack on my wrist skateboarding a few years back and that motherfucker hurt like crazy, nothing compared to this though, so I can only imagine how painful it is. But oh well, life can be a motherfucker sometimes
Good luck on your recovery! -

A few months ago I was expelled because of poor academic performance. But I got one chance to go back without having to sit for the entrance exam once again. In here the entrance exam is the sole criteria, they don't care about anything else but your score in that exam. The other way to enter is to first complete a degree, then there is a special entrance exam for ppl who already have a degree.

Just moved into a new place 3 weeks ago and in november i will move out again already because this new place stinks (literally)!
Backstory: I lived in this house for 9 years with no problems. Last year i told my landlord that i'm interested in moving into a larger apartement. So happend that one got available this year. The deal was that the new place gets refurbished before i move in. But then 3 weeks before when i already made all the arrangements and packed my stuff the landlord told me a bullshit story that he couldn't find someone to take care of that. I should have cancelled there but was naive and desperate to get into a bigger place so i moved in with only the living room refurbished.
First night i notice that the bedroom has a very strange smell. Havent slept there once yet. Also noticed that the hallway smells weird. First couple days i tried with getting lot of fresh air in and cleaning everything. Then i noticed that in the bath and in the windows someone hid mold under a thin layer of paint. Also in the living room some stains appeared from under the freshly painted wall.
Then after about a week i confronted my landlord with everything and then things got sour between us. He refused to acknowledge the problems and made some snide remarks like "it's your word against mine". I told him he either fixes this apartement or i will move out again. I think he thought i'm bluffing and was very clear that he doesnt want to spent money even tho the bastard kept the deposit from the people who lived here before! So immediately i started looking for a new place and now i have found something very nice not far away. Tomorrow i will tell my landlord when i have signed the papers. Cant wait to see the look on his face.

He probably won't give your deposit back either, that wont be fun... hopefully it's not a lot of money.
Speaking of probs with houses, we moved into a nice 2 bedroom apartment about 6 months ago, last month we got a notice every house in the whole complex will be fumigated. I was like... whatever. Until I realized what that entails, if you remember in Breaking Bad, the scenes where they put a huge tarp on top of a house, making it look like a circus. That's basically what they're gonna do to our house, and shoot a lethal gas inside for 2 days. This gas is so lethal, if you happen to be inside the tent while this is happening, you'll die in less than 30 minutes. They say once the tarp is lifted all the gas will dissipate, but fuck me man, I got a 3 month old newborn, if he inhales even a wiff of this shit that happens to get deposited into a drawer or something, I don't even wanna think about what would happen.
We'll be spending 4 nights in a nearby hotel. It's a major fucking hassle, all the food will need to be thrown out, or double bagged with a special wrapp, you need to get all your clothes, sheets and pillows, out of the house and other stuff that can't stay inside for obvious reason, including the baby crib.
fuck. my. life.
-
Oh wow that sucks. And yea i'm not getting my deposit back but that's ok because i was supposed to pay for reburbishing my old appartement. Instead of paying for that bill directly i will tell him to keep the deposit so he can't fuck me over with the new apartement. What's annoying tho is that i have to pay for moving once again. New place i will also need to buy a new kitchen and a lot more furniture but the quality of life will be so much better. New place has two floors, a terrace and a proper bath with bathtub.
I also ordered a mold test from amazon btw and it's growing some insteresting colonies right now...

I remember when I lived in Germany for a few years, it's the strangest thing in the world that when you move in to a place, the kitchen is usually just a couple of tubes sticking out of the wall, you need to buy everything. lol
-
@Steppenwolf make sure you check the piping (kitchen, bathroom, heaters in all the rooms), especially the bits where the pipe goes into the wall. It's not just for leaks, but if there are noticeable cracks/tiny spaces in the wall around the pipes, those can allow occasional pests like cockroaches to invade you. Nothing you can't seal, but it's good to know in advance.

Not always the case. New place will be my 6th appartement and first time i need to buy a kitchen.

The new place is in excellent shape as far as i can tell. Have never seen a cockroach in Germany btw. Only ever had trouble with ants if anything and now mold.
I blame the previous tenants to some degrees. They were pretty strange. The place looked like a third reich nazi museum. Was surprised that they showed it to me but otherwise they didnt seem to let any handymen in and kept the windows closed all the time i suppose because everything was full of swastika flags and such.

@Steppenwolf you should report this asshole to authorities, if it was through an agency, the agency, then shit all over him on social, there are plenty of forums specialised on renting nowdays.
I'm not clear if you still gonna live in his property but I hope not, doesn't seem a person you want to be in business with.
