What's going on with your life?

    jakuza I feel the same! I'm still working on a personal project afterwork but i NEED to find a new hobby or i'm going insane.

    It's been one month since I started my contract at Eden Games. I'm in charge of the car balancing & handling. The thing is, is already did this when I was an intern last year so now i don't feel like i'm learning/progressing on something. I know the project, i know my task, it looks like i'm doing it well... I don't face any new challenges !!! It's really annoying ! It's only been one month, I know my tasks for next months, so I'm really looking forward the next months, and hoping i'll have the opportunity to truely use my skillset !

    Still looking for a buyer for the Ultraflow brand (in case you know someone that could be interested ;) )

    After a month in which I only had 6 days off, I had a full week off and spent the weekend in beautiful Wales, Pembrokeshire with my babes. We went coasteering as highlight of the trip Saturday afternoon, did some walks, took lots of selfies… making me feel ten years younger ?

    These last 5 months have just been the longest kick in the nuts. I'm new on here, taking steps to improve myself, but damn does life hit you hard. First time unemployed from the game industry and contemplating my future. SMH. Yeah, that about sums it up.


    EDIT: Does anyone know how to create a post? I was scouring the forum looking for a new topic button but could not find anything.

    Nothing official yet but thx, and yeah kind of, but with a small twist, to make it simple I will sell bespoke designer furnitures on internet, you will have the possibility to customize everything, like the dimensions, colours, materials, items etc on the website itself, it will be something really easy to use.     Who is buying a wooden shelf 1500 euros ? There must be customers i'm certain, but it really boggles my mind, you have no idea. Last time i needed one, i found some old solid wood planks in the street, restored them and built myself one, not the prettiest one, although it has sentimental value now. Guess that must say something about my social class or something :D. Anyhow, good luck to you Ravage, wish this works !

    That's a valid point, that's why I don't aim at that niche and want to aim the people who actually like nice furnitures (actually I find their shelves really expensive too, that's why you have to trick people by showing them something fucking nice and design, the price get's more bearable)

    Not sure you can build that kind of stuff with planks and 50€ :P

    But you are right on another thing, it's the sentimental value, the DIY thingy is skyrocketing these days, people love the feeling when they succesfully build a thing, that's why I like the concept where the furniture can be assembled by the customer himself, it's less expensive, and some people will enjoy it.


    But anyway, if some of you have concerns about my project, it's the right moment :)

    Sounds obvious, but maybe you should value your work with such designs that only a professional can achieve. Ikea in better like you said :)

    That's the whole point :) , anyway selling cheap furniture isn't a good idea imo, first because you will get all of these annoying people with no money complaining about that 150€ shelve they just bought and how it's cheap in terms of quality (like if a shelf could be good quality at that price), secondly because you will earn a tiny profit out of it, thirdly because you don't get money from poor people, or it's really hard and then you have to compete with Ikea which is a terrible idea when you're starting out (even though I would love to compete with them in the future, because they are probably one of the most successfull companies in the world right now). But the whole point is, seek the money where it is, it's easier imo.

    Yeah, cater to the rich and be unique. Sounds like a smart plan to me :)
