Just tell them to fuck off and just be your kid's father, with all your flaws and all your good points. Obviously try to be the best person you can be for your child, and give him/her everything they need, but I really hate how people feel they have to abide by the textbook version of 'how to be the best parent'. At the end of the day, there is no perfect way of bringing up a child.. If people are judging you, then fuck those people

Disclaimer, I don't have a child so this is probably absolutely terrible advice lol.

Use your baby as a mace and club them to death.

Move to a foreign country where you don't speak the language and just nod when people talk to you.

Seriously though, having a kid makes you hate the world. One woman once grabbed my kid's leg sticking out of the baby carrier to check if he wasn't cold with a look of "you don't know what you're doing'. Family is the worst though especially those that think that putting a kid in the car outside when he screams is a valid way of letting him "exercise" his lungs

I now tend to avoid all parenting topics except with my wife, as even other parents will either judge you or feel judged when you mention your way of doing things.

Actually the best way we found to fight this is to educate our kid to not let other people give him shit just cause they are adults. Now when we have visitors and they want him to do something or behave this or that way because they thuink that's how children should, he politely shuts them off and we internally smile. "No grandma, if that's how you want to play, you can take these toys and play, and I will play like I want to with those".

But yeah, fuck those people, hold strong against them and do not back down and eventually family members (at least from my experience) give up on trying to be know-it-alls. Remember too that they often see you do something and feel awkward for not having done that themselves, it's like a constant challenge to the way they did it, and it's even worse if it's a topic with a right and wrong (not just preferences and opinions) as it questions their old methods and few people can handle that elegantly.

If the baby is screaming and someone speaks up as to why, hand them the baby and ask them to please handle it, since they obviously have a good grasp of what is wrong and how to fix it.

Its a pretty passive agressive move, but it gets the job done

Seen as I hate the world as it is, I'm looking forward to how much more I'll hate it when I have kids

Now that's some solid advice. I'm going to try and apply that.

I like this attitude, I'm going to apply that as well.

With a delay of three years (failed 3 times, once per year) and the last exam delayed 4 times in 2 months.... I've finally passed vector algebra and analytic geometry. I did an abysmall mistake in one question, but fortunately my average score was the min to pass.

So I was applying for this allowance Swedish gov can give you for starting your own company and so two weeks ago I got to know I were to have a meeting last week. I attended to the meeting thinking it would be a discussion meeting where I can seek for advice on how to sort out my draft of the business plan, just like my colleague had. About 15 mins into the meeting I realised that was the meeting they were to decide whether I would get the allowance or not.

That said, I came there unprepared and there was quite a few questions I couldn't tackle and they simply denied my application and now I have to do the whole thing over again, setting me back additionally three weeks and hope they will do a reevaluation. X(

I had to appear in court as eyewitness. Easier than I expected, but can't stop thinking about the case (again).

    It's though.

Coming home from an absolute shit day with a mind hellbent on breaking stuff. A day where you want to justify ripping someone's face off (thank you Limp Bizkit for putting these emotions in a song). Highly motivated to pick a fight with my wife I open the front door and there's my baby girl in her box. She sees me, starts smiling and stretching her arms towards me while making baby noises. I pick her up and all that bullshit doesn't mean dick anymore.

It was a rape trial. I was a witness in the term that I spent the whole evening with the defendant and the victim; but the episode happened after we all said good night to each other.

    He has been found guilty.

It's more fucked than it seems: guy has a fiancée and he left her in bed to go mess with the almost 20 years younger girl – who was passed out (we did drink like sharks that night).

They were colleagues at the time of the event.

She's ok, if you meet her you would never think she went through something like this, but I guess these things never really go away.
