You wouldn't even have to decline it, you could just write to them and express your concerns.

After thinking it over the weekend, this morning I sent an email declining their initial offer. Later on they called back and offered a higher salary but were not willing to change the role into a permanent position on the count of it being a junior role.
Still, I'm likely to turn down the new offer. Like you said, there's no guarantee that I'll be kept on after the contract ends, which would be a headache, and it will most likely be a death march, which is never fun.
As for my current job...eh...it isn't perfectly good. But then again - no job is. In fact, the whole reason I started applying elsewhere was to take on a role that's more challenging and more involving than what I currently do. Things have been very stagnant for a long time, which isn't great for motivation, and I really feel like I need a change but I don't this this would be the right move to make...
Ah well. Guess I'll have to keep looking.

Yesterday was fucking scary. The baby got her first two shots and she didn't respond well to them. Eventually she went out cold and we had to rush to the doctor. Luckily, she came out of it a couple of hours later and everything is fine now. But that nearly gave me a heart attack.
Fuck that's scary. I'm glad the situation resolved for the best quickly.
Guess this sort of episodes are convincing lot of ppl to not vaccinate their babies(?).

I applied as 3D artist at Keen Software, even though I have absolutely no idea if I have even a slight chance.
Beside that I also dont know what would happen if they would be willing to take me.
Its a pure 3D artist opening as it seems and they dont say anything about stuff like having 4 bazillion years of experience, so I thought
it might be worth a shot.
I just cant tell if it was a dumb decision or not.

If you don't try, you'll never win. And even if you don't get the job, you'll learn, improve and get more comfortable with the process of applying in general. I don't think it was dumb at all!
As some of you might recall I had a "Going crazy at work" thread in which I described a guy that literally ruined our entire team and was responsible for almost every fuck up we ever made. Later, in my other "Sprony and the Pendulum" thread I described how the entire team got shutdown (mainly because of him) and we were all demoted back to customer service. I was the only one to come out on top and secure an job at Traffic Management. For those of you that don't know, Traffic Management is responsible for keeping all Callcenter Agents busy (among other things). We can change shifts and we can, for instance, put people on non voice or voice. So much for the intro.
The problem with callcenters is that nobody actually want to pick up the phone. Everyone wants to do other stuff. That prick I mentioned above has been doing voice ever since we got demoted. Today he finally got some non voice work but it's quite busy here so we need more people on voice. I informed him (and others) that I changed his shifts for the entire week back to voice. I've never loved my job as much as I did today.
