So between all the nonsense we did yesterday on our new fucking awesome chat here, there was kinda "real" proposition, to make a drinking meeting in London ?
So maybe we should make it in a threat and actually think about it ? If its during weekend I'm IN !

When we were talking about it in the chat it became apparent that both me and Vilham are going to the London Eurogamer Expo at the end of September this year, so that would seem like a suitable occasion seeing as some (including me) are financially fucked during the next few months. I'll likely be staying in a hotel at the time so it wouldn't necessarily need to be at the expo for those (weirdly) not interested.

There's usually a polycount meetup at the Eurogamer expo too. But ours will defo be more fun.

Combined with Eurogamer is fine by me. Except, is it ok to bring an non Mapcore dude? Because if my best gamer friend (who doesn't design) hears that I went to an game expo in London without him (to meet pro designers as a plus) he's gonna be really sad.

I'll be there. And by I, I mean a little robot with an iPad FaceTime app running. Please serve the robot beers (put the beers up to the iPad) and pretend like I'm consuming them. Maybe you could pour the beer out while I make drinking noises? A lot of logistics to discuss of course, either way it should be a fun meet up. See you in London!

I'm in. Eurogamer makes sense as a location for it. I suppose I should book a hotel or something.

Isn't Wales like next door to London?

4 changes and about 5 hours, no thanks.

Oh, fair enough. You're probably closer to London than me, but it's only a two-hour train to London from here. I do remember trains being atrocious when I tried to get to Chester, which is about as close to Wales as I've ever gotten.

About Eurogamer. Is that enjoyable? I went to Gamescom once and the lines were 4 hours for everything. Is it the same? If so, I'll skip Eurogamer and come when the drinking starts.

Might be better to just meet the day before or something, then those up for the Eurogamer stuff can do that too.

It does get pretty queue-heavy, at least it did when I last went four years ago.

Yeah the queues are usually shitty...
