please be honest

    it made me feel good for donating, but i was starving taht entire week cos i didnt ahve any money for food, no breakfast,lunch. i had dinner but tahtas about it

    and its now about ill go to heaven first, FYI, im ignostic, so i dont reallt believe in taht stuff...not saying its bsd, just saying i dont think its there, so i didnt do it to go to heaven, i did it cos i wanted to help, thast all.

    I had a bit of a discussion with klein about this, and i just wanna say i really don't want to offend anyone. Donating money is good, as long as you can see the bigger picture and most people simply can't do that. I really don't think it counts for anything (as in, it says something about who you are) or that it makes you better, but it's still a good thing. I just don't want anyone to get me wrong

    Um, since when did donating money to the tsunami appeal have anything to do with the way you're perceived on tha_intraweb? The two things are enirely seperate -- I'm inclined to think you're trolling. If you have to go around telling people you donated then you probably donated for the wrong reasons anyway.

    You should've closed your initial post with the line "BUT IM A NICE GUY IRL WHY DO U ALL HATE ME?". If we only get to see the facade you put on while posting then that's all we have to judge you by -- it's not rocket science.

    besides, acting weird over the net, and then come and post this crap where you state that we should all love you because you have donated to the victims down there. Which basicly implies you didnt donate to help, you donated so people would like you more.

    Why do people have to read into why people donate? The money is going out and helping people, motives for giving aren't really important in the grand scheme of things. It won't make any difference to how useful the money is so why the hell is it an issue?

    Oh it is good money, i just said that it doesn't say anything about who you are, in a reply to the first post. Also, i came across quite a few people that were like "Oh i donated, and therefor, i helped. Means i don't have to care about the world for another year and i can just go sit on the couch again." And those just annoy me.
