colour me interested, looks like it might be very hard to manage everything though.

reminds me of pharaoh and Caesar but with multiple levels at once and multiplayer

    Moar management for the people!

Gave me vibes from many different management games and I got hooked when I heard about the "play 24/7 with up to 100 players"-game mode. I always wanted to play a game which takes planning and time yet stretches longer than Travian in terms of complexity (and visuals). I will buy this once it's out, for sure!

Looks cool, very bold concept making this all multiplayer and such. Could be tricky to pull off while retaining enjoyment but I'm glad it's being done.

Personally, I wish it had less of a retro look. I know a lot of people love that kind of thing, but in all honesty I find it a bit weird that with today's comparatively endless horsepower a lot of developers making games of traditional genres like simulation and platformers go for an art direction that's barely any better than what was being created 20 years ago.

I guess it simplifies production which is good for indies on a budget, but even just some cool lighting effects and such would be a big improvement. I don't know, the whole 90s-style UI and sprites doesn't do it for me. I'm not saying a 2D approach is bad, but it doesn't have to be so rigidly slavish to the past.

I guess there's a certain degree of irony to the fact that for years I said I'd love to see gaming return to its roots and feature more platformers and such that look like the old classics, and now we're inundated with them but I wish they'd look more modern.

Just got to thinking about this game, how is the development going KoKo? I'm still hyped to try it out.

It's been a while I haven't seen him unfortunately, but he seems to have made some progresses. You can follow his dev here : http://ymir-online.eu/ He has a lot of trouble with technical issues, especially with the netcode because he works with gamemaker and lots of plugins for it (being more of a 3d artist than a coder) but now the game reaches a point where it gets really complicated to handle everything within the gamemaker framework. Anyway if you want to try it out and help him, he sometimes needs people to participate to playtests, you can ask on the forum !
