I feel inspired to write an article about all this pre-order bullshit.
Batman: Arkham Knight

Here Sprony, let me write it for you:
Dear publishers,
Fuck your pre order bullshit, go sit on a rubber fist. As for you lot who pre order: fuck you. You continue to get sucked into this pre order fad and then have the audacity to whine like a little bitches when the game is a (big surprise) bug ridden, poorly optimised joke of a title. But that's ok, you got Batman his preorder now big black dick strapon 9000 bonus limited time edition now never forever dlc, so it was all worth it. Go die in a fire.
Yours,
Dux.
Insurance: This is aimed at no one on here. Unless you pre order a lot. Then fuck you. Love dux

That's a work of art bro. Also really politically correct. It's actually what I'm thinking. Now let's see if I can make that into a 1000 word article while remaining nice and polite!
Don't worry I did that for you
My dearest publishers,
Please go away with your pre-orders and politely go and step on a lego. As for those who pre-order: unfortunately you received a product that was not of your expectations, but the blame is on you. You knew very well what risks you were taking when you pre-ordered and yet you have the audacity to share your misfortunes about how bug-ridden, very poorly optimised joke of a title it turned out to be. But fear not, it's okay. Because you still have your not-so-fancy Batman DLC's to accompany your journey in the game. Kindly do everyone a favour and stop pre-ordering, my sweetest friends.
Yours,
Sprony

Well, I guess I'll get it for PS4 then...

Wow... just, wow! Has anyone in here tried it yet? I got my copy, but now I'm afraid to install, if I do it'll be impossible for me to get my money back.

QuoteDisplay MoreHi all
We're aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible.
We'll update this thread when we've got more info to share.
Thanks
CODAYeap, I didn't know this but apparently they didn't make the PC version, which seems extremly bizarre to me. I put an amazon refund ticket in, and ordered the PS4 version instead.

Even consoles user score is goind downhill, WTF ?

Read that there are drops on there too.
Quote from VorontsovWhy do people still preorder games?
Well sorry but this is bullshit. There's no difference in preordering and buying at day 1, if a game is bugged it is despite preorders. When a game comes out it should work, end of story, I'm sick of hearing people feeling smart because they've hold on their purchases "knowing" that the game would have problems.
Personally I've preordered because I love the Batman Arkham games, and the price was budget even before it was on the shelves, doesn't happen often.
A little aside: there wasn't this sort of backlash when HL2 came out and was hard crashing at the first corridor turn on ATI cards, which at the time was the suggested card to play the game onto.
Haters gonna ate blabla.~
I've just finished my first session, played 5 hours and the game didn't crash once. Performances? The stress test gives me a minumum of 29 fps with all nVidia effects activated, high detail. Textures can't be put higher than "normal" and I didn't want to push setting shadows on high.
It looks magnificent and it's running smoothly (wtf is all this complaining about 30fps, when for the last 7 years games were locked to that?), only drops I've had are when U-turning with the Batmobile, and I'm playing on a gaming laptop.

And this when many of you even crowdfund, oh I should laugh if those projects never come out? Or come out in batches, like the almighty Shafer [Blocked Image: http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/analprobe.gif]

Haters gonna ate blabla.Back then, everybody was so angry about installing and connecting to Steam that this issue was largely buried under the flood of hate posts regarding Steam, which, in retrospect, was a brilliant diversion by Gabe.

Haters gonna ate blabla.Yes, I agree, there's no difference between the two, except for you're usual pre-order extra crap. Also yes, when a game comes out it should work. Having said that, those people don't feel smart, they are smart. Because expecting this shit to work on day 1 is as naive as a child in love.

Oh I remember that. Valve wasn't particular popular back then. Everybody hated them for forcing all the mods and stuff to go through Steam. Everybody hated Steam. A lot of people couldn't download the game due to server issues. Yes, the backlash was enormous. Plus, people were still mad about the hack and the lies about not meeting the deadline. He certainly wasn't referred to as Lord Gaben our savior back then

lol non of my games for the past 7 years have been locked at 30fps?? Which games are these? (I know one or two have been locked over the years but the vast majority have run as high as I could get them!)

What I mean is that despite a game breaking bug, reviews never mentioned that, and scores were positive. I understand the rage of people not having it working, but giving 0/10 because of 30fps is ridiculous.

Basically any console game was, so much that 60fps became a selling point for all those games that weren't impressive visually like COD.
Not sure how it translated to PC but I can tell you I haven't broke any chain because of the game being 30fps.
-
30 fps is disgusting, what games have been locked to it for the past 7 years except for some shitty titles?
-
everything on consoles

Based on the work of Rocksteady's external PC Development partner I can only picture this:
