i think they should be making the other player models, not new maps.

Player models? I could honestly care less about what I look like when playing the game.
The map looks great though, I hope they continue putting out stuff like this.
How can they allways make so nice maps?
lol this map would be cool if it was snow.
Woa that map looks awesome
Really beautiful map, but I'm getting tired of these leafless trees.
Wow, that really is a stunning piece of work, far nicer judging by that shot than any of the other official maps. The green, red and white flag things look a bit out of place to me though - too bright and flat looking compared to the surrounding geometry.
Its not by Valve, its by Turtle Rock Studios.
An eye-candy version of de_tides_cz for CS:CZ, heh.
Here's a screenshot of the same area, in CS:CZ : http://www.shatteredminds.net/skit/tides1.jpg
The layout of the map is horrible imho. They better add a few extra routes to makes it more enjoyable.
Edit: This is the horrible layout. I added some stuff to show the routes and things: http://www.shatteredminds.net/skit/tides2.jpg
It's looking how cs_italy should have looked like. At least quality wise.

Haha, that is quite the improvement! Good lord that CZ map looked horrible.
NOLF anyone?

I love this game so much.
wow really good work. but it isn't looking like a german village how it shall look like - this 'drunken dragon' sign is written in german.
although it's looking really nice but i don't like this perfect look wich you can see in much other hl1 custom maps. every building got the same style and textures, every floor got the same height, etc.
a village with buildings wich are 300+ years old doesn't look this perfect. beams and roofs will bend and repairs will be done on different parts wich will make a building look more individual.
this is more looking like a new village what shall look like a old village. it's like a theme park or a engineering drawing.
i also dislike the high saturation of the sunshades and little flags. the back light is to bluish, too
i think you can make more real environments in source. needless to say that this takes more time.
so someone got money for this cz map shown above? frightening imagination ![]()
I hated the stealth missions, I remember when you had to set fire to piece of paper in a waste basket with the lighter and I always kept getting caught.. :x
Quote from ZetaMe too, criminally underrated and one of the longest FPS's you'll ever play...
It pretty much has everything you want from a fps. Just when you think you must be near the end, you get sent somewhere else!
It was sort of like HL2, except the buggy was replaced by a motorcycle, the boat was replaced by a snowmobile and Gordon was replaced by a sassy Scottish thief/secret-agent woman.
NOLF was the first FPS game i ever owned.
Im getting sick of leafless trees, too.
Also, i dont think it's germany. I think its italy (flag colors). Make a goddam ireland map, valve or turtlerock!
I like the map, but i think it's not a smart move to go out and make this map. As far as i remember from CZ, it had bad gameplay. And the community is desperate to get a CS:S version of Nuke, Train and all the other 'league' maps. So nice map, but their priorities are just wrong.
