Not true, more and more you'll see countries start to research and use better efficient power sources. Germany is doing it, and it's overcast 85% of the time in there, lmao.

Fossil fuels are going to be a thing of the past soon, they have to, or we're all fucked.

Using other sources of energy than fossil energy would also means reinvesting and change the whole infrastructure of the world industry, from the biggest manufacture, to your most humble peasant tractor, it cost dollars and that's not for today.

RT gets a load of bad rep for being Russia biased, but that's a "good" thing if you ask me. Since their propaganda is completely opposite from the american side propaganda, you can get a better idea of what's really going and make up your own mind considering that the truth usually falls in the middle.

Anyway, Abby Martin is awesome and no US channel would ever give her so much freedom: https://www.youtube.com/user/breakingtheset

Man Minos you are falling hard for Whataboutism there :/ Better to understand the propaganda then to search the truth in the middle between RT and Fox News.

Ugh no reactions or opinions to the well written geopolitical analysis i made with love ? By 2020 the Russian economy will die and the UE will be energetically dependant from the US which would have opened a new market for themselves and should know an economic growth until they fracked every cm of their territory, i somehow feel pretty sure this what the Ukrainian crisis is all about. And boy will they feel sorry in 2050 when they will have destroyed their ground.

Doubtful. Russia have a 40% of all natural resources.

RT is a tabloid and should be seen that way, it's pretty easy to spot when they are trying to spin stories towards the Russian side and only a fool falls for that shit. I'm not defending them or anything, but they do report on some topics that other media channels don't, even if superficially. And as I said Abby Martin is a really good journalist. If you browse through her videos you might think she's anti-american but imo it's quite the opposite. She just tends to focus on topics that the american media usually under reports (or do not even report at all in some instances) and which indeed need more attention. She has criticized RT live quite a few times.

To be honest I'm way past following news these days, 99,9% of the stuff they report won't affect my life directly anyway (like this plane crash for example).

Also what is negotiated as the most important treaty of 2014 at the UE :

    http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/in-focus/ttip/about-ttip/

    http://www.euractiv.com/sections/energ…ddiction-303374

    http://fr.scribd.com/doc/233022558/EU-Energy-Non-paper

The passage i like the most in the third link :

    Quote

The EU and the US have been at the forefront of challenging export restrictions for the last decade, as illustrated by their successful common effort to lift China's export restrictions on raw materials including rare earths. Combatting resource nationalism, together vis-à-vis third countries

Honestely i would rather the EU to not sign such free trade treaty with the US, that is the most terrible thing europe can do for its population, and i feel it will be our biggest problem in europe for the years to come. Monsanto stuff, unfair concurence with the american corporations, rebuying, privatization, you name it... We are going to get absolutely wrecked. We already have our fair share of free trade and economic laws from Brussel in the EU between members, and i don't see the magical hand of liberalism regulating anything since the begining of the union, quite the opposite - so if you add the world n°1 expert in the game - that's like ... madness.

Secondly, you don't have to listen to Washington, plenty of unbiased sources would agree RT is propaganda bullshit, including their own employees resigning in disgust at their sham coverage of this massacre. Why Washington says about freedom of sirian and libyan, where fight terrorist with screams like "ALAHADBAR!"? And say nothing about oppression of russian-talked people on ukraine, which forbidden to say their opinion? That's not a propoganda - that's true. People pick up guns to say kiev - "Hey! I saw a report on German TV yesterday which said that the Russian mainstream media greatly exaggerates the problem of Ukrainian ultra-nationalists. These people exist but they are not in numbers or in positions of power as RT etc. want to make you believe, they say. They showed a number of RT horror stories about the "Ukrainian fascists" which were debunked by Russian journalists not working for the mainstream.

I'd be interested to hear though: what kind of laws did the new Ukrainian government introduce to oppress the Eastern-Ukrainians? I heard that there was a proposal to remove Russian as an official language but that has been dismissed.

Here we go guys it's on, i heard it just today on radio :

    http://europolitics.info/energy/french-…rican-shale-gas

EDF the first electricity producer in France - with most actives owned by the state which gives you the color - has signed a deal with the US on shale gas imports. Which makes it the first importer of US shale gas. Pretty proud of my country diligency....

Honestly europe is taken by the b.... on the energy question. It's either continue the deal with Russia which won't happen, or turn to the US for their energy imports in exchange of the TTIP. And if brussel ratify the TTIP, this may sounds a "bit" exagerated, but this is the end of europe.

If you wonder what the TTIP is, all europeans need to watch this, i shit you not, it concerns you a LOT

As a guy said in the comments of the video, and unfortunately would feel pretty hipster about it :

How are russian-speakers in Ukraine being oppressed? Genuinely curious. Seems to me like they want to secede from their country and join with Russia, and/or not allow Ukraine to join the EU. It's hard for me to see either of those as oppression, although I understand why they would annoy Russia and thus cause Russia to stir up a civil war.
