Not finalized yet, but I might get it as well (second handed, 22,50 euro). Hope it succeeds!

How is this game on PC? Solid "port"?

On PS4, is it 1080p/60fps buttersmoothness?

Need to know which platform to aim for!

Steady 1080p 30fps on PS4, I've only had one case where the framerate dipped slightly below that when there were something like 50 characters on screen.

Hah yeah, ignorance is bliss, I don't want to see anything in 60fps to realise what I'm missing

Yes it's a good PC Port. One of the best I've seen in recent years. Smooth 60fps (can drop on occasion when stuff gets REALLY busy) at 1080p with the HD Pack.

Finished it earlier, would really have loved to see a New Game+ mode where they just beefed up everything and let you use most of your abilities and upgrades from the beginning, or just a harder difficulty option. The last few hours were way too easy and the last real fight was kind of a joke, though all the abilities you unlock are all awesome then it also takes its toll on balancing the difficulty, and as a result I didn't die once in the last 1/4 of the game, which is kinda too bad since that's a large part of what makes it so much fun in the early parts of the game (dying and having captains/random uruks rise the ranks).

Still absolutely in love with it tho, definitely the best game I've played so far this year. Gonna try and get a 100% completion in it and try out the Trials of War stuff too

Got the game through greenman gaming, which was a lot cheaper than steam, also found a 20% off code

It's one of the few steam games that's actually worth the asking price, mind.

Please do share as I was intending to buy it from there as well.

Eww, doesn't look i'm gonna get this. Did noone who gave this game 9's and 10's notice that it plays itself when mindlessly spamming buttons? That's a huge deal breaker to me.

I was waiting for someone to post this. That guy a whiny dick, ignore him. It's a good satisfying game. He's playing that with pretty much every ability unlocked anyway where you get pretty over powered, sure. But it doesn't represent the combat of the entire game.

What dux said, you definitely are overpowered once you have EVERYTHING unlocked, but leading up to that point, that's definitely not representative of combat difficulty for most of the game. I died A LOT before I got the cooler abilities.

All the game needed was a difficulty setting, or at least some automatic dificulty system that adapted to your gameplay. Also, fuck man, that's one cynical dude.

Still getting this, also, looks amazing. Will be getting this in the mail today alongside Alien, but i'm more excited for alien tbh.

Dark Souls is a lot harder and challenging for sure. Shadow of Hodor is more cinematic and satisfying along with being incredibly beautiful looking.

You'd play Dark Souls for a challenge. You'd play Shadow for enjoyment and a a jolly good stabby time.

Ok so here's my opinion of the game after 19 hours of playtime. Still in the first area:

    The good:

    Looks awesome

A very good port (For these days at least)

    Excellent animations

    Fun gameplay

    Lots of lore to read

Satisfying killing stuff in combo finishers

Riding a Caragor is immense fun

Watching the AI fight eachother is a flashback to the Half-Life days, love it

    A fun stealth system

The bow makes me feel like Legolas

The nemesis system is good I like it

    Good music

I like the weapon runes and issuing a death threat to a big boss can give you a chance of having an epic drop

    Great sounds

Lots of mini missions and other stuff to keep me busy

The kind of sort of bad:

Seems overly violent for Middle Earth. If you've read Tolkiens works then you are bound to be a bit taken aback by it

The controls can be rather unresponsive and have gotten me killed or unnecessarily spotted during stealth (climbing a wall and my guy starts climbing the wrong way and gets me spotted)

I haven't needed to gather intel on my enemies weakness for the most part, only Warchiefs

The intro was over far too quickly and dumped me into the game where I had no idea what just happened

The ability unlocks make you pretty damn OP later on in the game. The only way you're ever really going to die is from the controls not responding to what you want (As mentioned)

Doesn't really *feel* like Middle Earth for me. But that's just me. Like I said, it's probably the ultra violence that does it.

I've gotten trapped into a corner several times and other times whilst surrounded by orcs and unable to get out. Literally stuck and die

Poison arrows can suck my balls

It's probably worth mentioning that the PS3 and 360 version doesn't include the Nemesis system, which is by far the biggest draw of this game IMO.

Oh and this was the first Playstation game where I got 100% trophies, plus it was really fun doing it~~
