Great to hear. I have 2 girls. Thankfully my wife had no objections to my mancaving part of the garage, plus mancave II in my home office.
My advice: get a mancave if you don't have one.

I have a written and signed letter, with witnesses, that in the new house I'll get the attic to do with whatever the fuck I want. I'm going to build the ultimate mancave!

You know, you hear a lot of cliches when you're about to become a parent. Now that the end is near I realize that most of them are true. My daughter responds to my voice and my touch. I've been playing with her for months. Slowly pressing my finger against my wife her belly and waiting for my daughter to push it back. Normally she doesn't respond when people do that. But with me, I just have to talk and she goes wild. Now that my wife is currently living with her parents (closer to the hospital) I can't do that anymore. So I figured we could try putting the phone on speaker and hold it next to my wife her belly. Guess what? It works and my daughter still goes wild when she hears my voice. Having such an connection with something unborn, something we two created, that is just magical!

Well, she's here. Just in time for my first father's day. She was born last Thursday an it has been a beautiful, stressful and exhausting time ever since. Everything went well and both my wife and my daughter are doing fine. It was a little scary because she lost way too much weight the first day but now she's eating like daddy. Speaking of losing weight, getting a child is definitively a good diet. I'm dropping weight like crazy!
Also, I have a new found respect for my own parents and parents everywhere. Because this is hard. Not sleeping and constantly being focused on her isn't the problem for me. It's that feeling of not understanding what she wants and what to do that frustrate and tires you. It's all so fragile and you are so inexperienced, it takes a lot of you. The first night my wife was knocked out cold, I hadn't slept for 2 days but I still had to do it. Standing there in my kitchen at 3 AM, my daughter crying in my hands, wouldn't eat, didn't need a change, had the right temperature, wouldn't calm down and I'm Googling on my phone on what the fuck to do now. That really does something to a man.
Anyway, the Core has always been good to me and this topic received a lot of attention so I prepared something for the Core. My wife had something made for my daughter, since it's father's day, which says: "Born to PS4 with Daddy". I made a promise a few pages back so without further ado, here's our newest member Jayden (which means "Gift from God", quite fitting after years of trying wouldn't you say?):

As for PAPA, he needs to loose the belly !

Aww that's awesome, congratulations and kudos for not losing your mind with all the work that goes into being 100% responsible for a baby — something I can only imagine the difficulty of.

I'm sure sleepless nights and years of heart attacks are on their way, but it'll all be worth it to watch your creation blossom into someone who will make the world a better place.
Be sure to take as much time as you need right now, there's nobody more important than that bab (And your wife I guess!).Also, LMAO that is awesome Koko! It's pretty freaky seeing the father count increasing here, one day everyone will have to meet up with themselves plus kids in MapCore gear for the weirdest gathering ever. I don't think I'll be joining the club any time soon, but it's wonderful to hear from those who have.

Congrats, man!
