    yeah, well the start is pretty shitty. but I can easily forget the crappy first 20 mins of the main quest when the rest of my 100hrs of free running in the wastelands is enjoyable. tbh the whole main quest is the shittiest part of the game. It was the same with Skyrim and Fallout 3. Even though the criticism is well put about this game being shallow and all I still think it's the highlight of the last year.

    It has one of the best world and most satisfying gameplay loop I know of any game ever made.

    @Sprony I recommend addition with the unofficial patch using vivid weathers, interiors enhanced, dynamic interior fog removal, improved map

    those are the only mods that I've been using, haven't seen anything else that's worthwhile.

    For now, I simply ditched the Power Armor and minigun. It's just me and my pistol. Old school baby!

    Damn, that's pretty much on par (or better) compared to Bethesda's own in house production. Modding FTW!


    I'd wish that they could get Bethesda's blessing and charge a little bit for this.

    I remember when mods would post some low res renders and some ugly map shots. Nowdays they spend 6 months building a demo presentation in vegas.

    As a Florida resident, I'm just going to be honest here, that looks nothing like Miami.

    I guess the idea is they want to convey like 1950's Miami, but before cocaine, Des Moine was probably more interesting than Miami, some old Art Deco buildings aside. Here Fallout is a series about the pre-1970s, and Miami is a city that became 100x more interesting after the 1970s.

    I think they just wanted a vibrant setting with some narrative potential for conflict - like the little bit of alternative history they did on the Bay of Pigs invasion.

    As someone who's never been to Miami and only experienced it from pop culture, it seems like they captured the atmosphere of an alternate Miami pretty well. Yeah, it's not Vice City, but it seems interesting in the fallout context.
