Did anyone made it possible to build all around the map?

    Yeah the console did

It'll spawn a workbench where ever you're standing (typically off kilter and half sunken into the dirt like a relic). Doesn't work if there's enemies nearby, or if the game has bugged and thinks there's enemies nearby maybe, but eh. Close enough. No settlers or anything like that, but you can build and scrap whatever you want.

e: except for most things that aren't scrappable, they only bothered to make decoration that are used in settlements and things you can pick up and move scrappable, sadly. Hopefully a mod adds that data to all the props so we can properly strip shit bare.

Been playing without using the pipboy fast travel, only vertibirds and lots of walking. The world is actually a lot smaller than I first realized, but because its not just endless waste between locations it feels a lot bigger. So many unmarked locations that are interesting or have small environmental story telling. You only plan to go round the corner for a quest, but end up spending hours in some underground car park that leads into the subway tunnels then who knows where after. End up further away from where you wanted to go than when you first started. So much to see that is somewhat hidden and probably wouldn't find if you heavily use fast travel.

Also since I don't fast travel you come across more enemies so health and radiation is much more of a concern. No longer able to hoard 100 stimpacks and just spam them when needed. Now you have to care about sleeping or using radiated food/water to get health. And setting up settlements is more of a priority so you can have guard patrols while moving between locations, as well as more vendors to buy healing items and offload your junk.

Then I got an explosive combat shotgun drop from a legendary super mutant and the game on survival instantly turned into easy mode. Each pellet explodes so anything that doesn't die in the first shot has most of their limbs crippled so cant really fight back anyway. Really is a god tier weapon.

Was playing Fallout 4 this morning, Fresh run and was preparing to do a heavy weapons/ power armour run, but Sturges nicked my power armour and broke his own limbs as well as my power armour's existence in the game.

Recently came back to my level 60 character after not playing for awhile to play the new DLC. Damn, it's so easy to get lost in this game. You can literally just live in the game if you want, it's absurd.

Here are some that I'm using/testing and my game has had no issues with them.

Power armor teleportation mod. Very clean and functional and it feels like something that could be in the main game. You use an item and your last equipped power armor teleports to you. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/…review%3D&pUp=1

Expanded ballistic weave. You can now use ballistic weave on more pieces of armor. It didn't make sense that I could use ballistic weave on army fatigues but not on road leathers. Definitely let's you customize your appearance with a clean conscience. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6681/?

I'm also using some 50's irish radio mod that actually fits combat really well. Beating down raiders with my baseball bat with "drunken sailor" blaring in the background is now my new favorite thing. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8614/?

I'm kinda interested in trying this one out in my current playthrough, it gives you a pack brahmin that will follow you around and carry all your junk for you. You can even tell him to bring it all back to your settlements. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10713/?

Also, the new DLC is interesting so far. You can craft robot companions/upgrade them with a new workbench at your settlements. There's a surprising amount of depth in the robot crafting. If anything, it's a good excuse to start playing again if you've finished the main story.

Just remember to be careful with mods right now. Best case scenario you get some unbalanced tweaking which makes you a bit OP, but two mods so far have corrupted my saves. Thankfully I only lost a couple of hours of progress as opposed to dozens of hours of progress. As a rule of thumb, I'm just going to stick to simple tweaks or small features. Mods that are out right now are made with FO4edit instead of the official tools so I don't really trust anything that tries to overhaul things.

Definitely a good time to reinstall the game! Let's hope the official tools are the next thing they release!

I've read they will be released between the first two DLC's. I think they're aiming for April so can't be too far away!

I hope they're an improvement over the previous tools. They were pretty clunky to use!

    Robot home defense mod,

This allows you to add Sentry bots, Synths, Protectrons, Assaultrons, Mr. Handy's, Ms Nanny's and Mr Gusty's. They each offer quite high defense rating and the Mr handy's and Nanny's offer happiness to settlers. There are quite a few downsides though, the sentry bots are quite big and wont fit on settlements like Oberland station (but who uses that). I've used it for a while and haven't encountered any crashes or noticable bugs. I have the Automatron DLC also and it hasn't been affected by that or any of the updates. The defense ratings are the lowest of 10 and the highest of around 35+ (the heavy sentry bot). When you attack these also they do not fight back, they don't require any ammo or power. They are quite costly though, to build sentry bots you need the fusion cores.

But other than that, a great mod for defending settlers and mutfruit plants
