Forcing PC users to lock their FPS at 60 is a FEATURE[/i]:
1) We save money by not fixing a well known problem with our game engine and pass those savings on to you, the customer!2) Now, the PS4 and X1 versions are 'on par' with their PC counterparts. Play where you want!3) Think about all the money you're going to save by not having to render all those extra frames! You can use that savings to buy custom mods that we still have plans to sell you!

I've been playing for 6 hours and I'm still loving it. Love the base building stuff, nice addition. Game's gorgeous looking too! Some really nice atmospheric stuff going on.
I had problems being locked in place after using terminals, this fixed it after a quick google.
-
Only played around 2 hours but really enjoying the game. Only got stuck in one terminal and I had a save only a minute or two back so didn't annoy me too much and I've had some subtitles get stuck during a conversation but apart from those I've not experienced any other bugs.
Can't wait for the weekend to really sink my teeth into this!

@dux aside from your gripes with the engine, what do you think of the game?
-
I've only had one bug that pissed me off. took 20 minutes killing this huge bastard only for the quest giver to disappear into scenery.
Great game overall. Not bothered by the PC version being gimped by the console versions (yet)

It's ok. I don't really care much for the settlement building, it's a time sink that doesn't really add a whole amount to the game for me. I keep finding myself building shit for hours and never being satisfied with how it turns out and then think to myself I could be out playing the game instead of playing the fallout sims. It does look quite nice at times though, it is a definite improvement in graphical quality for them. I'm also happy to see they've made big improvements to your first person camera and your weapons view. Doesn't feel stiff or typically bethesda awkward anymore, a big improvement there. I heard somewhere that they hired a guy from Destiny to do their FPS view or something. Paid off.
As for typical bethesda: I talked to a roaming trader and his brahim kept walking across the conversation screen so all I could see was a giant mutated cow eye while the guy talked. The radiation fallout hadn't even happened yet and my baby only had two arms and a head. I get stuck in terminals a lot. My lockpick screen was broken until I reduced my fps. I like my dog a lot, but jesus he gets in the way far too often. My fps goes as low as 30 in a town. FX8350 4.2ghz 16gb DDR3 780gtx set to high but is 90-120 anywhere else. Towns destroy me.
So to summarise after 8 hours:
Good
- Graphics
- First person gun play
- Your dog (when he doesn't get in the way)
- Your guy talks (I like it personally)
- Modifications for guns, armour, etc
- Good voice acting as usual
- Getting rushed by a Feral Ghoul and introducing it to Mr. Point Blank Shotgun To The Face™
- The quick slot inventory thingNot so good
- Silly bugs that shouldn't be there because it's of course a PC CLASSIC THAT'S FUCKING PORTED TO ITS ORIGINAL SYSTEM FUCK YOU CONSOLES
- I don't care much for the building stuff
- Framerates are very inconsistent
- Animations are pretty rough as usual
- Not sure how I feel about the Power Armour and how early you get it
- I didn't think the beginning was as good as Fallout 3I'm supposed to be out looking for my son, but too busy building a pylon.

I'm 7 hours in and i'm not feeling it yet. It's like i've already played that game, feels a bit like a remix of FO3, same music, same shag town, kinda the same quests so far. I also think Witcher 3 has spoiled me. I notice a lot how the world and the characters don't feel believable and how rough it is around the edges in comparison.
-
My gun keeps going invisible and I have to reload to get it back. Also the UI/ Menus are not very good.
-
I didn't really care for Fallout 3, but I've been enjoying the shit out of this one. Voice acting inst very good though, really brings down characters, however because of the settlements, I do somewhat care about some of them. That is an improvement. I love the building stuff, hate all the bugs within it but with some trial and error, you start to figure out how to get around it. Most of the other bugs are bearable. I've already played around 20 hours, about half of that just building. I enjoy that kind of thing in a wasteland game. It was a great addition.

Alright, played it for about 5 hours yesterday and yep, this is another good fallout experience. Nothing more and nothing less than what I was expecting anyway, it's not blowing me outta the water (so far) but I'm not felling underwhelmed either, like some people are.
Gameplay wise, I've only seen a glimpse of it, but I really love where this is going, love all the crafting system where it makes even the smallest piece of junk valuable. The weapons feel good and have a really good impact, rivaling other FPS games, which is saying something considering that F3 was a bit meh in that regard. Really good gameplay, specially if you use a controller,
as of right now Keyboard+Mouse is fucked.[EDIT: Well, using the fixes posted above, with a few sens tweaks and fixing the horizontal speed, playing with K+M is actually good now, might stick with it actually as it's easier to aim]Bethesda's Fallouts are the only games where, I'm just wandering around in an abandoned house, picking toothpicks, breathing in the atmosphere and trying to imagine what it must have been like for the family living there 200 years ago, I look up at the night sky and imagine the decaying satellites orbiting the earth, and that feeling is priceless and that alone makes this a must play for me.
PS. If, like me, you're having choppy FPS, specially in interiors, run the game in Windowed/Borderless, doing that I now run it at Ultra 1080p 60fps, so fucking weird but oh well, bethesda games I guess.

I'm personally blown away by this one. Crafting in this game is fun as fuck, I've really enjoyed wasting time perfecting my base, I think it's the best part of the game for me.

Leave it to modders to include basic functionality. "Why do it when the modders will?".
