Really like the new art style, I'm kinda interested after seeing such grandious locations, all that building system… if it was only third person and with better animations I'd be happier.
Big problem is this is so big, it's gonna suck lives… and I'm already struggling finding the time to complete Batman.
Fallout Shelter is out for Android (13 August).
Updates (http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Fallo…ews.asp?c=67015)
i survived the secon deathclaw attack, but even with laser, plasma, gauss rifles, flamethrowers, and the portable nuke, I have to go through most medalist and revive the lower level dwellers when the animals go down a level or two ![]()
the portable nuke is also ineffective (already noticed with raiders) as the dwellers struggles to engage!
Artist Chris Bischoff (who worked on Stasis) had some fun. What if Fallout 4 was an oldschool isometric RPG.

on one hand - Awesome!
on another (slightly larger) hand- ...Man the isometric version's haven't aged well at all. Tried to force myself through them again before f04 comes out and found them mega unwieldy and unintuitive.
I'm good, never really liked isometric games.
Been playing Fallot Shelter a bit, its okay at first, but you then realize you can only succed if you play it the one way it was designed to play. So not sure if Ill continue with this one.
I've seen yesterday the Bethesda internal interviews with Todd, going a little deeper into some concepts they touched in the presentation at E3 stage, and must confess that Fallout 4 is the first fallout that I'm really keen into trying/playing.
Large part this is due to the art direction, the use of colour finally.
It also looks scarily time-sinking, when I think I played Batman 70hrs and been told that Mad Max takes as much for full completion…

Missed this, what you mean with "the one way to play"?
Btw I let it go a lot, as only the people sent on wasteland die, I've let it go and checked it yesterday after several days. (resources might drop when you next play, but I think I've set up my vault nicely and production is consistent)
Im only at 100 dwellers, wanted to improve their stats before continuing… but not sure I'll continue and get to build on all the available space.
It's also a battery hog! (Although haven't checked if last update improved it) but normally playing more than 5 min would make the phone go warm/hot, which for a stupid 2D building game is unacceptable
I have high hopes for this game and suggested to a friend today. Let's see how it comes out.

That looks awfull compared to Fo1
Yeah those renders look too noisy, but rather than FPS-third person I'd rather see the game having a third person-isometric view.
My colleague has 12/13th booked off for a 4 day weekend binge...
I wish I had holiday left ![]()
Little snippet of gameplay for one of the perks:
Oops, i meant 12/13th!
Surely being a US based game, release on the "11th" means some obscure time on Wednesday night?
