Ok so, I've watched the rest of the game on YT, and to be honest I feel bad, this game picks up in the middle or so ( the begining seems to be the hardest and most boring part (that super extra frustrating stealth). I wish I had more time and play that game in the first place, but oh well maybe I will pick it up again after some time.

Silly knj, Youtube is for watching Call Of Duty playthroughs, not actual games.

Yeah guys, I feel really ashamed now, but srsly I didn't have time and still don't have for 20h game
(counting the time of replays after deaths) and was sooo fucking curious the story in that game

Guys, I was listening to the OST on YT and went through the comments, and some guy had a fucking great basic IDEA for a twist in the Alien Universe. I've recreated it in my head.
I will not put a spoiler tags here, cause I think all of you saw every Alien movie. In the game, when Amanda was being cocooned and after when she woke up, the egg next to her was opened. What if she has an Alien inside of her ? At the end I was like, ok we are cool, some ship is here to pick me up.
BUT what if that ship is weyland yutani, that came there to look at what was left of Sevastopol ? We all know that, Sevastopol was expendable just to get an Xeno organism. Maybe when Ripley (in Aliens) was looking at photo of Amanda, when she died at age of 66, it was just a fucking picture of anyone ? or some kind of recreation of old Amanda, just to give Ripley the closure ? But the truth was, that Amanda died not long after the incident at Sevastopol, and the cause of death was a chest buster ? This would be fucking amazing, and Alien Isolation 2 - Amanda trying to escape the company ect ?For me this would be fucking great twist

So, I finally played this game. Decided to play it with a friend (huge Alien fan, not really a gamer). So he just watches me play. Our first session was about 3/4 hours. I have to say that I'm really impressed. Visually it's spot on and the sound department deserves an award. I also like the story and how they set everything up. I expected the Alien to show up earlier but damn, that was a nice reveal. Great build up of tension. All in all really impressed so far.

Last night we finished session 3. About 9 hours in now and at the end of mission 7. Looked up the walk through to see how far we are but apparently there are 19 missions. This game is really big. So far we are having a blast. The suspense is making me, Mr. Fear seeker himself, scream like a little girl. Fuck that Alien! I'm a bit worried though, especially since I now know that there are 19 missions, that the game won't keep this up. Anyway, for me it's a real GOTY contender.
Only downside so far is the save system. Some points are just too far apart and having to replay entire sections again and again is getting old really fast (especially seeing how unpredictable the Alien is).

i hope they make an expansion for this game or something like that

I've been playing this game for like 5h now and I don't have the nerves to play more than 1h. It's so friggin scary! :<
I'd double the GOTY contender, Sprony.

So we had session 4 last night. Now I can say that this is GOTY for me. The detail and love in this game are amazing. I just had a mission we didn't expect and all we could say was:

We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy. We've also found the flamethrower. Even the flame moves with the wind and when you swing it around it makes exactly the sound it's supposed to make. There's so much detail put in this game. I can't emphasize this enough. It's a labor of love making it visually one of the most convincing worlds I've ever set my digital feet in and the sound design, goosebumps all over. Also, still, fuck that alien!

2 hours and a half in, just met the Alien for the first time. Holy fuck this game is amazing...super immersive. Loving every minute of it so far. Love that a AAA release like this can exist

I hate this game. Because i want to look at it and study it in peace but it's so scary

Oh you're in for one hell of a ride. Or like Cameron said it in Aliens DC "20 miles of bad road"

I bet I am. Hmm, I better re-watch the good ol' Cameron movies some day!

Seems like I have to keep pushing myself through it, really looking forward to that hot safety of the flamethrower. Glad the immersion and scare factor of the alien haven't faded yet, like you were afraid of.

I was like that in both D3 and Deas Space. First was more the tiredness from too much dark, second I could play up to two hours I think before feeling stressed, but still demanding games and the reason why I still haven't finished them. Dead Space especially I was loving it, just I never had time to sit for those kind of sessions.Really want to put my hands on Alien, but first I still need to watch the first movie (oddly the only one I haven't seen), then I have such a back catalog that I might as well wait for the price to come down a bit.

Just been watching my sister's bf play this since he just bought a PS4, it's pretty intense and looks absolutely amazing!
