Yeah i'm playing aswell. They really got the atmosphere right, it breathes Alien. The rooms, hallways and especially the techno hardware with the old scifi look is awesome.

But also stuff like furniture and small bits, it all fits in (too bad you cant actually sit down in a chair tho). Actually noticed sort of a tablet device with a crt screen and mechanical buttons, cool!

I got the PC version aswell and i agree it runs smooth and has pretty good graphics. Had i known it was a port might have not got the PC version but its all fine sofar.

Sometimes feels a bit stiff going from one animation into the next. Also stuff like missing an invisible trigger line or a "perform action" point can be a little anoying, especially with an alien nearby but overall its great.

Playing at night, in the dark with headphones, damn its scary at times! They really got that right

So yeah i'm impressed aswell. Its not a shooting game tho, i can imagine its not for everyone.

what i think is from my experience is the game gets harder and harder.. some things are confusing like what kind of weapons or how to create medkits and stuff i didnt understand.

    also

the level where u just run and hide from evil people with guns are HAAARDDD!!

also.. its confusing sometimes u dont know where to go...

also i hope this developers make PROMETHEUS LOL

Ok guys, should I get it for PC or PS4? PC has the highest ratings on Metacritic.

It's pretty much exactly the same across the board on PC, PS4 or XB1. No noticeable differences. It's entirely up to you, but I'm really enjoying playing it with mouse and keyboard.

They're both pretty comparable. A beefy PC will have better framerates though obviously (>30)

Ok, I just finished playing a few hours. I just met my first group of humans and the game is literally hard as shit. There is almost no explanation as to why Ai's can see me in one instance vs another. It doesn't even look like hiding in the shadows makes a difference.

Why am I a dumb human?

That said, despite drawing so much of its strength from the license, the excellence of the audio design, the uncanny androids and the sense of the magnificent dread of space put me in mind of another game – System Shock 2. I think Alien: Isolation is the best scary sci-fi experience since SHODAN’s last appearance.

That is a massive compliment in my book. I'll be getting this in the next week or so.

Do you recommend Normal or hard mode for first playthrough?

Was watching some gameplay, the audio is flat out jarringly good. Like multiple times I actually had to check if something was going on in the room. I sort of want to pick this up, though I'm not a big horror guy.

some screens i did.. i like the shader reflections, bloom effects and direct x smoke effects in the game.

as i understand the planet is jupiter in the solar system! however, during gameplay i found some minor bugs and glitchez. it was graphics glitches.

Been playing a lot more tonight. The Nostromo DLC stuff is pretty cool, if a little short. But I don't know what else they could have done with it really! The voices of all the old cast is exactly that; old. They sound like a bunch of OAPs now, and the voice actor that did Ash sounds like he's got some kind of weird lisp. Fun seeing those guys reprising their roles though!

I'm currently at the Systech spire, and I feel the game is kinda coming into it's own a lot more now. Started out fairly strong, then got a little weak during the Hospital area.... But now it's picking up again. Really enjoying it so far!

This is one of the areas I worked on, the Cryo Room from the original film and also the Torrens variant! This was a fun little task!

Holy shit, this game is visually impressive and spot on. Sound design is through the roof. I really feel like I'm walking around in the movie. Haven't played a lot yet but it's already pretty obvious that this was put together with a lot of love for the franchise.
