Creative Assembly "shocked" by negative reactions to Alien: Isolation
"People would come over and say there were no weapons in the game and no fire button and all you can do is run away from the Alien. The next question was, 'well how would that last fifteen hours?'
"I remember thinking, 'well, we definitely told people that there were weapons and we definitely said there was a melee weapon in that one.'"
Even though they did say that there would be weapons I could easily see the concept of helplessness Amnesia: The Descent showed us translate to the Alien universe, actually I think it would fit perfectly.
Furthermore, I will shit bricks if I get an occulus on my head while playing this, the AVP2 marine campaign still gives me the creeps when played at night. This could be sooo good! I'm not gonna go all hype just yet though.

Yeah kinda shitty putting all that stuff in behind a paywall.
However, my stuff has finally been shown woo! I re-worked this room, as well as making the Cryo room from the very start of the film!

impressive work..
that girl looks so rrruueeeal

I think the character guys did a great job with those. Parker is probably the least recognisable tbh, he looks a little too skinny. There's also something really kinda uncanny valley-esque about all of the models, don't know if its just the rendering though!

Lets all hope for another famous buttcrack scene.

First thing that came to me was that they look like a collection of action figure models bent into poses.
I really like the swirling smoke above.

Apparently they listened to Dux:
Quote"It's genuinely been great to see the reaction to The Crew Expendable and Last Survivor pre-order bonus content we announced yesterday and how excited you all are to re-experience those classic scenes from the original movie with our Alien. It's been absolutely amazing for us at the Studio.
"However, some of you have been asking if the two pieces of content are only available through pre-order or if we'll be releasing them at a later date as well. "So, I can confirm today that we do plan to release both Crew Expendable and Last Survivor at a later date and we'll have more details for you guys on that shortly."

The more I think of this, the more pissed off I get at CA and Sega. They're just trying to nab as much money as they can.. Which I guess is understandable, but.. I dunno, I just hate the idea of having content locked away that was made during production of the main game.

Welcome to every publisher ever liam lol. Games are already outrageous value for money in comparison to other media...
-
I should make my own publishing company. Hurgs No Bullshit Publishing. I'd have no paid DLC, or any on day release DLC. Any DLC would come months after release for free (ala NS2). Every company would be given the time the require to squash bugs and be happy with their product. They'd also be given the creative freedom to make their own game without publisher intrusion and everyone would be happy.
And Hurg publishing would be broke in a few months
