I'm on my way to create a modern version of E1M1 but have no idea on what engine
CryENGINE probably...Without weapons or monsters, there's really no limitation. Go for it!
I would love to see someone do a remake of a Quake map that still looks and feels like Quake. Whoever pulls that of is a legend in my book.
I actually have on my to-do list to make a "next-gen" version of Q3dm6, my all time favorite map.
Pro-Q3DM6 had different item placement only, right? I've spent ages on pro version ;D

Yeah, pro had a mega health in the middle instead of the quad damage. It's the only major diference.

How would you know which game to bring back if you didn't play it? lol

There's currently an EA sale on Gog.com (including both Crusader games, Dungeon Keeper, Syndicate, Lands of the Lore, Ultima, etc for 2,39 dollar each):
-
It would have to be Jedi Knight games for me.
-
Ultima Online.
My first ever MMO experience and still tops anything made today in the MMO world. The topdown style made me feel as if I were playing inside of a fantasy book with other people. Not to mention that the game mechanics and general design was just great and so deep and enjoyable.
Discworld Noir.
I bet half of you fuckers haven't even heard of this one. Hands down my favourite adventure / point and click game, ever ever ever. It's noir as fuck. You wake up dead. It's raining all the time. It's constantly night. There's AMAZING music. Murder. Whiskey. And lots of cool Discworld shit. Oh my god I need to go replay this right now after the wolf among us.
Dungeon Keeper
Still the best strategy / builder ever made. Yes even better than Populous and SimCity. Tell me what other game you can posses your own creatures in and wonder around your own dungeon? Or slap chickens to make them explode.
Blood.
So much awesome. That crazy laugh. Come to think of it I can't recall a bad game that was used with the Build engine?
Overlord
Ok it's not super old but I loved these games. The humour was great, the art and design was nice and it was really fun to smash shit up with your posse of minions. I really want a #3.
Kingpin. Awesome game for its day. The reason I got a voodoo 3 3000

Diablo 2.
Yeah. Yeah.

i would love to see blood 2 the chosen remade
then team fortress classic should have been what it should have been in my opinion not this cartoonish shitty game. it had potential but tf2 ruined it.. damnit
red alert 1 need to come back again
-
I was kind of wondering what happened to crash bandicoot, it was a strong ip a couple of years ago and it just disappeared.
So yeah, a new, proper, crash game would be cool to see.

Of course Jedi-Knight.

But also the possibly best TV-Series adaptation FPS:

The world needs another one of these:

Bring the arena like fast paced FPS back!! Would be also awesome to see the same game integrated with a SP campaign like Quake 1 and 2! Wtf happened to these games?
Many have tried, and failed, (looking at you UT3)
Arena FPS is dead.

Number 2 on my list is the Ghost 'N Goblins franchise. I have them all on the NES/SNES/Genesis and PSP. Oh, and even Maximo on the PS2. Too bad Capcom totally forgot about it and they cancelled the online version, which looked pretty promising btw.
