    Hey there !

With just a quick overview, I can tell you that your work is too dark and not enough colorful to be eye candy.

An other general critic is the fact that you do not tell anything with your textures.

How this create get its stain ? Since it looks old, why there isn't dust on the top ? Why not to damage a bit the edge of your create to make a Highlight effect ?

I think you should spend more time on this part.

Oh, yeah and an other thing :

Since this is a mental ray render, please, throw some kickass shots with a very big resolution (1900*1200 ? )! It'll make your image to be more impressive.

Thank you for your opinion it means a lot.

And yes you have a point in crates I should add some dust and damage it a bit, I dont know why I missed that

I have trouble with setting up lighnig in a scene, your scene on the other hand have good contrast and lights and one thing I couldnt read off is what is the rendering engine ( marmoset ?)

My scene ? I avoid to use Marmoset since I prefer to show my stuff directly how it'll look Ingame. So, when it's not Unity, or Unreal engine, it's Source =)

And sometime it's easier to create a nice lighting / presentation since you can add few Post process to helps you (bloom, tonemap, etc ).

The shotgun is your latest prop I guess ?

I think you should add more color to your texture and contrast even more the different value of the gun. Actually, it looks almost dead.

Futhermore, you should works more your surface. You put some nice details on some edge (scratchs, etc) but surfaces stills boring since your don't play with the specular/roughness.

    What are your reference ?

Thinking a bit about the aesthetics of your site... It would be nice to have your name and your job title in a bigger font (it's just common that the title is bigger than the "sub titles"). Talking about subtitles, your job title could be a little more descriptive of what you exactly do. I'm not dumb I'll look at your stuff and say... oh he's a prop artist (freelance), but I'd like to know how you qualify yourself. Also, I feel like the overall color of your website doesn't make your art "pop out" (a bit like Kikette said above). Lots of your objects use very desaturated colors and it kind of all blends in with the background of the page. Maybe try to go with a lighter background to contrast with your pieces ? I always like to think that the page somebody creates will reflect a bit their personality. Maybe try to personalize it a bit more thinking about "what kind of professional I am and how can I communicate that through my page".

I feel like your Black Talons Interior could be lit in a more interesting fashion to better show your specular highlights.

I think you could also present your post apocalyptic assets in a better way using lights and a little setting (some stand in walls... that kind of thing).

    Hope that helps .

    Hi Kikette!

Sorry for the late response, yeah shotgun is my latest, color for the texture you say? hmmm the color I found in refrence is similar to what I did. Well maybe I found some bad refrence so my specular is in then way it is now, but when I saw the gun it was similar to mine ( nothing fancy going on there). I will pm you will refrence so I won't spam here.

As for Super. Yeah thanks for the comment. I feel like my monitor color settings are wrong and I will have to adjust them correctly because when I view them, it seems ok to me. Also thanks for the website tips I will make changes, when the time allows me for that.
