Yeah I've been told by a whole bunch of fitness dudes that gloves are a good idea. I sometimes use carrying gloves when moving furniture, etc and they make an absolutely huge difference. It's amazing how much 'weight' the feeling that you might lose grip of something adds — suddenly I can lift furniture that's twice as heavy when I have them on like they're fuckin' enchanted gloves of carrying from Skyrim or something.

When I start to get really sweaty and start getting into the heavier reps I bring the gloves out for better grip.

Liam you are not better than us because you do no exercise and still manage to retain your supple figure.

I'm a little porker now, Thrik. My sedentary lifestyle has affected my waistband in a bad way!

To be fair though, I just make sure I eat well, and I'm losing a bit of weight. I've never really got much enjoyment from exercise haha.

Enjoyment is not why we do it, health is the main reason why I do it at least. Eventually, when you get into a routine, you actually start to feel some enjoyment tho, which is great.

Yeah, I think we touched on this in some other thread but I personally have a much 'cleaner' mind when I regularly exercise. Things just somehow stress me out less on a day-to-day basis and the world generally has a better glow.

It's definitely worth it for that alone. It's easy to see why some people get massively into exercise even when you could argue they don't 'need' to bother. It genuinely makes you feel great, not just at the time but all the time.

I love injuries, I mostly run barefoot. Only pussies run with shoes. Be a man.

Seriously, gloves give good support. If I didn't dread going to the store I'd get a pair cos my right wrist is already pretty fucked up from using my mouse 24/7 :/

I was doing cardio as if my life depended on it. My t-Shirt was soaked. My head looked like a wet tomato and it felt as if my end was near. All of a sudden, a gorgeous girl comes in and takes the machine next to me. She's looking at me, she's smiling, oh yeah, she's definitively flirting with me. But the dumb bitch was too eager. Instead of waiting for me to finish and catch my breath she decides it's a good time to start talking to me. The only sound I could produce closely resembled a death rattle. It was pretty awkward after that.
