The beta is a blast, so far. Shame I have to use Origin...blech.

Signed up, mainly to see if my ancient relic of a PC can handle this.

I'm playing on an almost five year old laptop and it is certainly playable

Just installed Chrome to sign up to the beta, let me do it in 20 seconds. I was also able to import all my Firefox bookmarks into Chrome within 5 seconds with a single push of a button without any bother or fuss. Hello new default browser.

OT, but I don't understand all the Chrome-hate. I have pals that swear by Firefox and absolutely despise Chrome, and I don't get why. It works and it works well.

    People hate Chrome?

I was happy using Firefox for years until a couple of months ago where some websites just didn't work properly for me, the titanfall beta was the last straw and I decided to try Chrome. Not bad so far. My only annoyance is if you want to view an image by itself, Firefox would place it in the center of the screen... Chrome puts it up in the top left corner. Kinda annoying.

Anyway. Gimme this invite, I went to effort to sign up!

    60fps gameplay

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digit…ox-one-at-60fps

It looks to much like COD.. More so than I expected, is what I mean. The maps look super crowded when multiple Titans are on the ground. Anyone else see how busy that hud can get? Still, I'm sure it might be fun, and I'll give it a go when its cheaper and play it with peps at work.

So Titanfall's website doesn't support ff?

I immediately jumped on Chrome when it came out, it used to be blazing fast in comparison. Competition is good: Mozilla got its shit together and rewrote ff making it usable again.I prefer ff because when. vanilla I find it a little bit more reliable (session managing mainly) then Chrome is not much friendly with old pcs, and I have a 2008 MacBook.

Anyways, depending on the task, on the sessions I have to restore, I use alternatively everything that's available… sometimes even opera.

Haha yeah shut the fuck up guys.

I had the chance to play a bit of this last night, and I was really impressed. I haven't played anything like this in quite some time. The shooting feels really smooth and very responsive, and I love the Smart Pistol! The Assassin class feels like a lot of fun, I'm not one for big guns

The Titans do feel really cool but quite squishy. It's nice though because your team tends to flock towards you to help you out when you get in a Titan. Plus it feels badass!

Need to try out the other game modes tonight. I've only tried Attrition so far and it's pretty standard TDM. The end sequence is really cool though, when the losing team have to try and escape in a Dropship, which can be destroyed by the enemy. Not sure what benefits you get for escaping, more XP perhaps?

The benefits for escaping? You escape with your life and avoid humiliation

I figured it was just like the humiliation round in TF2 where you can boast that you survived and that the other team wasn't smart/fast enough to catch you. Of course if the enemy team destroys the dropship, then they have the last laugh.

I think the escape is relatively cosmetic (small/minor bonus). It also gives the losing team a chance to "win" something.

I don't like how kicks are one-hit kills. I guess it's something different to a knife like every other game but a kick just seems silly. I've been kicked before and I didn't die! Surely they could have invented some kind of futuristic tech to disable enemies; heck, even a tazer would be more believable!

Anyway, we're all thinking about getting this at work since there's normally about 12 of us playing Counter-Strike at lunch this would be perfect to accommodate us all in one game. Do we know if this has LAN support?

Here's a whole ten minute video but to be quite honest I find it makes me sleepy

I find it ridiculously disappointing that Respawn formed as an entirely new studio with the ability to make any game they wanted, and they chose to make Call of Duty + Giant Mechs. That's boring.

Similar to how CSGO is just a rehash of 1.6?

It's like infinity ward and call of duty. That's pretty much what I expected of Respawn, and I love how titanfall looks.

You'll also find it ridiculously disappointing when they sell millions in the first weeks

it's not very encouraging that the guy passes up 3 opportunities to get in his titan, is it?
