Judging by how things go in the real world, I find it more likely that they made it an exclusive to convince Apple to give them those sweet, sweet App Store featues. Or maybe they just don't want to deal with the fragmented Android tablet market. Either way it has more to do with the fact that Square Enix cannot longer afford to ignore tablets so they are adapting a new strategy. Taken from their results briefing in May (http://www.hd.square-enix.com/eng/news/pdf/20130527_01en.pdf):

play games, their specs are more than sufficient.
On the other hand, game consoles have become smart
