Hey dude, if that post is aimed towards my comment, you should know that I own all current gen consoles, and still buy games for all of them. The fact that I favor PS3 over the Xbox does'nt make me a raging fanboy, and doesn't mean I want Microsoft Gaming division to go out of business. lol

As a game developer, all I want is for ALL platforms and developers alike to thrive and success, with that being said, I'm still entitled to my personal preferences and again, favoring something doesn't necessarily makes him/her a fanboy!

My faith in microsoft has slowly been growing over the last year or so, so I'm hoping they get this right.

I find this illumination stuff to be really gimmicky. Not everybody has those huge living rooms, and a lot of people don't have coffee tables so it wouldn't really fit... Plus I imagine you'd have to trail the wires away.. and for what? so my bookcases and speakers can be illuminated with distracting shit? No thanks.

Oculus Rift is the only new 'technology' that really excites me. All this other stuff is super gimmicky.

I agree. The rift really excites me but this illumiroom doesn't excite me at all. It looks pretty distracting to me actually.

Also, if you have a projector why wouldn't you just clear the wall and have one huge screen? I know this is mostly to give the impression of peripheral vision but it doesn't look great at all

Agreed, not a selling point for me at all. Logistics aside, it just doesn't look that good to me. I like my living room's ambient lighting that I carefully planed thank you.

No...it was not. You actually said you are not an Xbox fan. That is completely different than saying "Microsoft needs to die" because you are honest and have logical reasoning behind it which is totally respectable. The fanboy is an illogical douche who needs attention and has low self esteem.
