Except that they are at least trying to be, you know, balanced in Battlefield.

It's not my personal crusade against COD. I just so easy to make fun of. I love it. Besides, Battlefield's SP campaign is even worse than COD's so what are we talking about here? It's just that COD has been so milked that the Internet has made a sport of mocking it resulting in a lot of funny shit. Shit I post to hopefully entertain others. Just take it with a bit of salt

No offense, I am trying to enjoy both games, just saying. Btw, think that BF4's campaign wasn't bad, it actually was pretty well designed and paced for the most part. Very COD, yeah, but super fancy, very impressive visuals! Guess it is popular to hate on BFs campaign, but after working on SP myself I see the good ideas in it, even though some stuff was a bit frustrating.

True, they are supposed to be rewards to the player in COD, while in BF you have them constantly up in the sky. At least once you unlock the Stinger you can give them 20 vehicle damage...

What I'm finding most amazing is discovering how many current-gen games weren't even 720p. I mean fuck man, 600p seems to be more or less typical and that's only halfway between SD and 720p — and 720p barely even qualifies as HD IMO.

It looks more like this generation is going to be the real HD generation. Games are going to so much better being as sharp as they should be. On the PS4 at least. I guess we'd better get ready to buy SuperHD re-releases of all our games.

Anyone played COD? Today some guys from the office were late because playing whole night. Maps visually are way better then before, I really like style and ideas like old castle or bay village. Awesome!

I'll get it. Haven't played CoD since Black Ops and the singleplayer was really awesome there, looking forward to it I don't need innovation or whatever, if it's fun it's fun. A lot of reviews seem to bash it cos it's just not new enough compared to last years CoD but meh I don't care since I haven't played that

Last CoD I played was Modern Warfare 2, I'm a victim of brand overdose (same with Ass Creed). I did enjoy both MWs, though. I guess as this is a new story(?) I can get back into it, although not if the reviews end up being shitty.

I feel like every year Madden and FIFA are more of the same...yet people buy them. I view CoD the same way. No offense to our IW and Treyarch friends here. I like my CoD cause I don't have to think too much. I just load up, shoot people, enjoy some explosions and stuff...play some MP and move on. I save my gaming critical thinking for other games. Thus CoD fulfills a need.

Plus Costco has it for $50 here for PS3 and then I can upgrade (wait, right?) to PS4 for $10.

Yeah, surprising. Whatever your opinion on the game and its release schedule, Call of Duty has always been a pretty safe bet in terms of quality. Could this be the first exception to that rule that leaves even its most die-hard fans cold, with the new generation spelling the end of the franchise's grip on console gaming?

Well, probably not. But I think more people should stop for a moment before blindly buying it this time around if the reviews are anything to go by.
