Looking forward to this. Chronicles of Riddick was pretty enjoyable, reminded me a lot of the original Conan films, and seemed to beg for more development.

Nice. I can't deny that I really enjoyed both predecessors, although it's funny just how incredibly different they are. Wonder which one this will most resemble. I really liked the Nazi-esque themes and the art direction of #2.

TBH Pitch Black was great IMO, Chronicles was so so, but the both games were splended

Amazing. I don't know how I've managed to miss this trailer. One of my favourite movie characters.

So is this a continuation from the second film, or a re-imagining of the first or what?

I think it's more of a blatant re-hash than a deliberate re-imagining...as a fan of Pitch Black (and less so of the sequels) I was looking forward to it from the teaser trailer, but a bit less so from that new one. I don't know, it just looks kind of crappy...the effects are pretty ropey (though yes they have time to work on those) - it just looks like none of the characters actually exist within their environment, especially during that weird slow-mo flipping fight sequence, it looks like they are fighting on a set, like something out of the old Star Treks. The second part of the trailer with the monsters is better, but still nothing that wasn't done similarly (and better by the looks of it) in Pitch Black.

Wow, looks terrible. I don't get the excitement beyond perhaps nostalgia for the first movie, but oh well.

    Wouldn't mind a new Riddick game tho~

I have to admit that this seems almost laughably small in scope compared to the epic Chronicles of Riddick, but Pitch Black was a very intimate film too that didn't really lend itself very well to a trailer. We'll have to see but I'm hoping they don't forget what made those films cult classics.
