i think i'm more pissed about his facerag than about the architecture. garrett never hid his face, and he was well known by the city guard. also, no mechanical eye?

    Garret never asked for this.

Anyway I'm glad this thing looks on track, take my money too

Right now I am not convinced too by the character design, to me it looks too much as Scorpion meets Ryu Hayabusa. The bow also seems a bit too modern in its design, doesn't it?

Apart from the wrap around his face I don't think they've strayed far from how Garret looks, he's always been a bit of a cross between a ninja & a gimp, works for me. But yeah the new bow does look like it has a lot of moving parts

Maybe I'm just an uncultured swine because I've never played Thief, but to me the series has always seemed to be about some hooded dude sneaking around a medieval setting. This game also appears to feature a hooded dude sneaking around a medieval setting.

Looks great, though. As HP says, after Deus Ex they pretty much have carte blanche as far as I'm concerned and I will buy whatever they make.

It's not that I "complain" about, it is the feeling that it's not stylized enough to stand out. Thrik description says it perfectly: "hooded dude", not "Garrett".

Same goes for the environment, I know the game has been so long in development, but coming out after Dishonored, I cannot shake the feeling the art direction is generic.

I'm really curious to see some gameplay, haven't played the whole saga so, I'm waiting for this.

How can you, Captain of Mapcore, sit there with a clear conscience, knowing full well that you have not experienced one of the greatest PC games ever made? Do I need to come to Nottingham and force you to play it?

1 and 2 are on steam now - go and buy them you taffer.

i'll probably buy it anyway, but why not just have kept the character as is?

In one of the screenshots his right eye is a different color and has steam or a wisp of smoke coming off it, while he perches on the side of a wall. However, if they're cutting the mystical stuff (which is STUPID because the Hammerite vs Trickster elements were the coolest universe building stuff in Thief imo, the whole reason the City is the City originally is because these people have banded together and walled themselves off to keep the dangerous magical wilds away), not sure how they're going to explain Garrett's need for it in the first place, since it was originally plucked from his head by the Trickster for use in a ritual at the end of Thief 1.

I'm honestly very disappointed by this trailer, but I was expecting it. It shows no gameplay, Garrett has completely ridiculous ninja moves and part of this trailer was already leaked years ago. Also, no Stephen Russell to voice Garrett. I can live without him but this is another nail in the coffin. With every new tidbit of info EM gets crucified almost everywhere.

Thirk is right, as much as i love Thief, the new trailer they missed some letters in the title - it is Dishonored DLC or some other Dishonored shiet !

I think the game will be great but that trailer does it no favours.

    lmao:

Total Dishonored vibe in that trailer... some scenes feel a bit too ripped for me to look the other way, heh.

We'll just have to wait and see how the actual game is. The trailer could just be the marketing dept exploring their own assholes.
