Agreed Thrik, as I said before, the problem with this will be the interruption for the Desmond narrative.

But with such a project and talented teams to deliver, it could have been considered to make this it's own franchise. But I don't think it's possible to blame Ubisoft very much this time, they are full on with new stuff, all very big.

And who knows if we'll see anything from the game by the mind behind the original Assassin's Creeds, 1666.

I'm just reading that's on hold and Desilets is suing Ubisoft because he was fired after they acquired the THQ studio. Given the setting i wouldn't be surprised if they took that concept and blend it in a new AC chapter.

Dunno about this, #3 was such an unfinished game that had so much more potential. That trailer was generic and boring imho, so I will wait for reviews or a steam sale

I'm definitely looking forward to this because pirates. God damn.

Wish he'd take that retarded hood off, though. This asshole think he's still in Jerusalem or what?

Giving it a pirate setting feels like they are reaching out to a broader audience, but to me it doesn't really fit the series. Would love to run around in London or Paris in a 19th century setting

Sucess of ACIII as a commander of the ship "minigame" wasn't the main reason making the pirate theme in first place ?

I still need to play Revelations and AC3 but I wouldn't mind getting this one. I guess I'd miss out on quite a bit of the story though...

If they'd just get rid of the abacadubsabuacus thing.

    EDIT:

wait am I confusing the name of the DNA memory thing in the games? I had "Abacus" in my mind...but that's an ancient counting/mathematics tool. <sigh>

    EDIT 2:

    "Animus"

If they'd just rid of the animcumadumdinglydonglius-imus thing.

They should just do a new series of open world (er..open sea?) pirate games called "Black Flag" and call it a day. Dump the animandingdonglius of course.

    "Black Flag"

    "Black Flag 2"

    "Black Flag 3"

    "Black Flag 4: Modern Piracy"

    "Black Flag: World at Sea"

    "Black Flag: Modern Piracy 2"

    "Black Flag: Yarrr Ops"

    "Black Flag: Modern Piracy 3"

    "Black Flag: Yarrr Ops II"

    "Black Flag: Krakens"

    and so forth...
