That's excellent! But the outline makes it a bit hard to see all the detials, just IMO

Yea same comment across the board, i think it looks cool but it does detract from what im actually trying to show. Did a bunch of new renders. Cant be arsed to post them on here, if you want to see them go to my folio or the polycount topic..

If you can't be arsed to post it in here, then you most likely wont get any replies.

I think the above pic is way to dark, can't see a thing or distinguish any details, but like you mentioned it has be said already.

Judging from the bottom pic, I think it came out pretty good. Texture is overly noisy at areas and spec is really (!!) exaggerated (typical marmoset look) Also, that specular map is a waste, it's either black or white making the reflections really contrasty.

I would recommend you also make a gloss map. Metal textures without gloss maps don't look believable and they just look like plastic.

I see smoothing groups errors on those two engines, those scratches on the engines look gigantic and really out of place, and what's that purple color on them? You might wanna think about including a few more materials into your object as well, some plastic areas, some cloth here and there maybe? Some rubber, some diferent kind of metal? Maybe some chrome? (To achieve this diferent looks with a single texture sheet you NEED to have a gloss map)

Also, those bolts on the texture look extremly big and it's making the ship look like a toy recreation. Real life ships would never have such big bolts.

Thanks, I should point out that im not even vaguely happy with it. But then i never am, and it just gets worse day by day.

Unfortunately im out of time to work on this. The colour on the engines is metal discolouration from the intense heat btw, and the bolts are the same size as they are on the model (which arguably is a toy), one of the things i would do differently if i did it again from the start would be to reconsider what to ignore from the reference material and adjust to make the asset more believable.
