    James Randi has been a personal hero of mine for a long time. He and two other people are making a kickstarter-funded documentary about;

    An Honest Liar profiles the colorful life of famed magician turned professional skeptic James “The Amazing” Randi as he embarks on a series of public crusades to expose America’s psychics, faith healers and con artists with religious fervor. But you never know whether to trust a master deceiver - and there's more to Randi's life than meets the eye.

    Consider giving a pledge if you support challenging pseudoscience, supernatural and paranormal claims through skepticism and reason. Or if you just appreciate the enormous effort he has done to expose cheats and liars like Peter Popoff, Uri Geller and others.

    This kickstarter video features the word truth quite often; is admittedly inspirational; and has a man with a white bushy beard

    Are you guys looking for truth or a good show ?

    I find the possiblilty for irony in this thread to be rather high.

    What would the irony be? That the documentary is selling something?

    Kind of. I just thought it would be funny if the entire point of the movie was to make money from people, which would be ironic given the nature of the documentary.

    I guess I could see someone seeing this as ironic if they're not aware of who this guy is. However, this is not some random person and it makes the scenario of it being a scam/fraud too absurd to be considered ironic (if you know who he is, of course).
