Oh, yeah that no longer exists since Conviction. They removed it for the EMP devices. In Blacklist, you can either shoot out lights or use the stickyEMP (http://ca.ign.com/wikis/splinter-cell-blacklist/Sticky_EMP). The EMP belt device from conviction was removed because it was way to overpowered.
Yeah, in Conviction it made sense to not have it, but I was expecting it to return. No big deal, eh, just appears to "go back" a little.
Agreed that the EMP belt was op.
It would have been cool to have it back. I will bring it up in the near future ![]()
Pre-purchased this.
The little I've seen is looking good and I got a special deal for it (24 euros). It seemed stupid to pass it up.

Edit, I looked it up on google, and that voucher is only valid for the "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist - Deluxe Edition" and that version didn't come out here in the US, too bad.
I could use it on the normal edition, but you're probably entitled to different vouchers depending on region. Unfortunately. ![]()
That's gotta be it then, it must be a EU code only.
I'm a huge fan of the splinter cell series, but somehow this title didn't interest me at all. But it's getting great reviews so I will pick it up anyway ![]()

I'm still baffled how they do it. Is it 100% legal? Do developers get the same cut as they would through steam or other channels?
From the little I've seen it seems like they recycle copies, thus it's pretty much like a retail store... and fuck retail stores and 2nd hand sales.
Anyhow... 2 more days! Wohoow ![]()

This only drops the price to 40 euros. Where did you get it for 24 euros? ![]()
Sorry, I meant pounds. They recently changed that.
For me, the game is listed at 30 pounds here: http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/se/en/pc/gam…st/#description
The voucher is 20% off, which should bring it down to 24 pounds. If not, there are some regional restrictions in effect.
Sigh, i can't get it for PC ![]()
Opening cinematic stuttered like crazy. It sucks that I wasn't able to tweak the settings before that intro video? I was in windowed mode for some reason, sort of an immersion breaker. Then I got into the game and the whole game feels like it's in slow motion, all the sounds are fine but all animations are weightless and feel slowed down. Is that how it's supposed to be or...? Going home now, gonna try again tomorrow. ![]()
1.1mb/s from the Ubisoft servers. Looks like I'm not playing this tonight.

First I've heard of this issue? Update your drivers maybe?
Quote from DarkFirst I've heard of this issue? Update your drivers maybe?
The slowdown seems related to the framerate apparently, sort of like it's trying to catch up to what's happening even though I never drop below 30 and have Vsync off. Anyhow I'm on my work PC, I'll try again tonight on my home PC and be sure to update all drivers and such ![]()
Always a good idea to let PC players configure their graphics settings and maybe even use a tutorial map before diving into the main campaign. ![]()
