Looks like a return to the original style of the first Xbox game, looking forward to this one!

I don't like very much the fact that you have to go into a UI to decide whether to attack lethally or not. Other than that, looks solid, good 'ol Splinter Cell. But on the contrary of most fans, i'd welcomed a different course of events for Sam Fisher after Conviction, probably i've said that already.

he doesnt need to go in to IU - they just showed it like this, but its just a gameplay approach - am i right !?

I'd hope so, but the prompt changes between the two playthroughs, you can read "[X] knock out or hold for human shield" (3:28) and then "[X] kill or hold for human shield" (7:05).

I don't see why there would be a UI for that, if there was a way to contextually do that.

Looks absolutely splendid. The ghost walkthrough is very Metal Gear Solid: making a whistle to attract enemies, having a robot to send around to scout the area and do takedowns, and just the general approach. This is great as I need a serious stealth game to satisfy my urges and MGS is still kind of the king in that respect.

Yeah, you have the choice of switching between lethal (knife ones) or non-lethal (knockouts) takedowns. You do it pretty quickly through the weapon wheel by pressing X. What's pretty contextual is the variety of takedowns you can see depending on what's happening (are you sprinting, are you detected, your position from the NPC, etc.)

Don't get me wrong, I understand the design challenge... but i would have preferred to be able to choose while "staying in the game", like in Chaos Theory (you grab an NPC then you decide to kill or knock it out). It's like if you had to go in a menu to choose your stance: it's such a core action that a UI is disrupting, no matter how quickly you can switch. Then again, I know the pad has just as many buttons so I'm not saying "you should have done this" just saying the result I would have preferred to see

I hope you guys can replicate the Chaos Theory multiplayer experience I spent a shitload of time playing that!

Wasn't much of a fan of the changes in Double Agent's multiplayer though, it didn't feel sneaky splinter cell-ish enough, more like circus acrobats.

Pfff, I so want this game to be good So far it looks like the Splinter Cell I've been waiting for.

(It'd be awesome to have mod tools for the MP, /wishful thinking)

CO-OP gameplay and trailer - spans four mission types and 14 maps, and is playable online and in local split-screen.

Sam and a recruit? So in Splinter Cell 7 we'll finally see Sam putting the goggles in the drawer?

You should try Conviction then, it's much more action oriented, I mean your action and reactions are quicker.
