Hello! I'd like to tell you, that my map de_kievpass has just been released. Take a look.

The map require Counter-Strike 1.6 mod.

    A little story:

As presidential elections of Ukraine have passed with mass

falsifications, people has left on streets to protect their choice.

Hundred thousand people were placed on the area of independence in Kiev,

and tens thousand have surrounded the central terminal station for

carrying out of meeting. During this "orange revolution",

provokers have conceived sabotage at terminal station.

    Based on real situation!

The players are located on the station "Kiev-Pass", in Kiev.

Terrorists should bomb one of the few bomb places.

The map is near copy of the real place.

You can take a look on some screenshots:

The map looks very well done, however it looks like it could've benefitted from some higher res textures.

    Looks great though.

Looks very well made and it is supposed to be a real area, but the textures seem to be extreamly blurry.

Yeah, brushwork and layout seems nice, but not even Half-Life 1 has to look that... vaseline.

Why did I scroll down to ol's post after clicking through all these pictures...Anyway, the map looks very cool, just the textures look very blurry even for hl1. Is it your computer or the res of the textures? Also why are there monitor packages in the waitinghall of the station?

Still very good job, thumbs up!

My mission was to create a map like real place. The place is really big, so to keep wpoly in normal, i decide to make a donation of textures. As we know, in hl1 subdivide integer almoust satatic (hard to make it more than 240), the another method is to scale textures. As i have an open area, the scaling of textures are 1.5+ (some of them 2-3 =\). So it really looks sux. Or wpoly optimization is not the mapper's job, hah?

I just can't imagine what is SO important to blew up So.. i guess it is important

    Anyway, thanks for that comments!

Take a look around in the world which is beyond your monitor, you will find many visually amazing places like this...

That really is a great map, good brushwork and attention to detail, but it has to be said that those textures are very blurry.. how did they get like that?! Excellent effort though!

yeah, you would really benifit from higher res textures. good brushwork though, but again you cant take your eyes off those textures.

Half-Life engine feels a little to old now, little to old for maps and games.

The not so old but still awsome graphic.. feels a little to old and ugly now.

the map is a nice work but if source it would pown.

So this is my advice to you as mapper : forget about everything.

    Next generation is source.
