I'm sure we've all heard of Curiosity: What's in the Cube by now, but as it's actually out I figured we need a thread to discuss this bold and inspiring direction Peter Molyneux — creator of Theme Park, Black & White, and Fable — has decided to take the games industry in.

The goal of the game is to destroy each block that makes up the gigantic cube. Each block takes some time to be destroyed, which can only be sped up by spending coins on superior block destruction tools. It can only be destroyed one layer at a time, so once this outer layer is eventually destroyed in the year 2018 we can move onto the other multitude of layers.

Your reward for all this effort is the incredibly minuscule chance of being the person who destroys the very last layer, beneath which you'll supposedly find a life-changing secret.

Yes. I tried to give the game a go while having a shit earlier, unfortunately it just kept having errors. So that's pretty much that.

I still cannot connect. The suspense before clearing my first tile is killing me. I am sure it is part of the experience now. Molyneux is a genius.

Seeing that this is more of a social experiment than a 'game' I cannot help but be reminded of

in 'The Dark Knight'. Maybe Molyneux has gone insane and hid the codes for a nuclear missile in the cube.Or maybe not.

That's a life-changing experience right there, it's got to be it! Thanks for saving me the trouble of hacking at a cube for 10 years!

Interesting technical article about the complete screw-up that this game has become (still almost impossible to join due to overloading):

What if the person that finds out whats inside the cube is Peter Molyneux?
