I'm keeping my eye on this. Sly looks in great shape for his age. It looks like we're getting a 80s action revival in 2013 which I can only applaud. Don't forget, The Last Stand is due february, followed by this one in march and they will both feature in The Tomb in october. 2013 is going to be great!

What's this, Forest Whitaker playing a cop?! How novel. Nice to see my old favourites back in action, though. Not entirely convinced these films will be great but I hold hope after enjoying Expendables so much.

Sorry for hijacking this thread Buddy! We should rename it to "Return of 80s Action".

Latest Red Band trailer of The Last Stand.

I'm very pleasantly surprised. It's better than The Last Stand. It's great seeing them both together. The director knows how to hit the right tone. It's more serious with some humor in the right places. It's not really an action flick. It mixes different genres (a bit thriller, a bit action, a bit mystery). Some familiar faces to which I won't spoil for you. I give it a 7+

Straightforward movie, enjoyable but nothing special.

    Consider me hyped!

I heard first screenings were getting mixed reviews but they reshot parts of the movie.

I liked End of Watch so this should be good.

From the early screenings I've read that they actually got the whole police thing done good enough, this shot could be all sorts of things though.

Not so much action in the movie I heard as well.

Based on the directors previous work it's probably similar to: End of Watch, Street Kings, Harsh Times and Training Day.
