    There is a pretty strong community for this. Many doom servers (summing up all engine ports).


    What I find curious is that there are many interesting maps, some of which are very clever. It's different from unreal servers filled with nonsense, random maps with no theme at all.

    The Doom community in general is very active and wads and megawads are still being made, some of them being absolutely amazing, yeah. I'm not too keen on Brutal Doom because I think it defeats the purpose of the game a bit (that and some really ridiculous/out-of-place stuff), but I gotta admit it's really fun sometimes.
