This looks like a highly evolved form of those people who post the "idea guy" threads. Poor guy got too many ideas with no way to bring them to life so he's got to pull this kinda shit.
The Half-Life 3 thread of closure and memorium AKA what Tyler McVicker just said on YouTube

Well fake or not, he is right about Kelly Bailey making music for Valve again. He did leave but came back to them.
-
If it's fake, kudos for originality and creative writing. I have to agree many of the stuff mentioned feels like the logical next step for SP games. Fuck.. the kid in me really wants all that to be true, but glass breaking in different ways according to the environments temperature? sure... lol.

I think this was known before this article tho.
To me this was poor writing from a literary standpoint but def had some cool ideas: "Temperature is a factor too and reflects on a lot. For example if it is very cold, glass will become more brittle and easier to break, whereas if it is 700 degrees the metal will start to melt and the rubber will stick to the surface and melt down."

Somewhat OT sorry, but wouldn't know were @PogoP has posted last about his HL2 UE4 remake project. Just noticed he got mentioned by ValveTime as the demo is completed(?)
this would be such a good look for the new game... I would actually be very eager to replay the original remade like this :fap:External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Need to watch this properly... I quite like the guy's delivery, but his logo is terrible and the odd timing with the music of his opening animation really pisses me off.

Would love a L4D3. Orange box 2 anyone?

Not that I tried it much, but I don't like L4D. The money I spent in the first is one of the worse spent ever in my life.
What do you guys think of these rumours of HL3 incorporating RPG mechanics? It's only based on the "quest" lines in the config files… if they create an open world structure, I'm thinking that they are calling "quests" the missions/NPC scripted behaviours

That's quite a bold statement! What didn't you like about it? I preferred L4D1 over 2. The scoring system was better, there wasn't any overpowered melee weapons but the new infected in 2 were a welcomed addition to stop the survivors camping corners.
I've got about 1000 hours between the two L4D's. Had so many fun games with me and a few friends.

that hurt my feelings, first l4d has a special place in my heart. Your post just shows that you haven't really given it a chance.
the game has a ton of depth and strategies involved, the nerve-wrecking feeling when everything got silent and you knew a nasty ambush by the infected team was about to happen at any time.
There were many cases where one team lost because of a small mistake.. it was also at the brink of a nice competitive scene.. until they announced l4d2 and successfully killed it.
but that's just like my opinion man.

Can't wait for Left 4 Dead 3, I'm in love with the series. Great zombie games in general just make me happy, like the Resident Evil series (yes even the bad ones).
Wonder what they have in store story wise.
-
I found the games to be a novelty that wore off quite quickly. I guess things could have been different if I'd had friends who were more into them.
-
I always felt left 4 dead was fun for 30 mins then it got extremely repetitive. I do get combat fatigue fast though.
Also fucking lol, the VNN video confirms there's a material for Half-Life 3 from anonymous source. The video sounds like something from the X-Files, as if HL3 was this mythical legend that was unconfirmed until we saw this material. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE, TYLER.
-
You already made my day @Sentura ?
-
I never played L4D1 but maybe I should.
I have 39 hours in L4D2 but it got to boring for me after a while. I love how the zombies run. The maps are quite well made but it get repetitive after a while. I just don't like most of the guns. All the rifles / smg's feel the same to me. No matter if you have an AK, M4A1, UZI or whatever, you get 50 bullets in the magazine. The aim is horrible, if I remember correct it's cone fire, or at least it feels like it. I like the weapon feeling in killing floor, but I don't like the zombies in killing floor... (and the camping at a good spot). I'm still waiting for a good zombie game
