I finally picked up BF4 last week. All this week, I I tried giving the game (MP) a chance, but as of tonight I went back to BF3. I'm sorry but 4 is an abortion of 3, I never thought I would say this, since every BF installment has delighted me up until 4. Now after playing multiple hours of BF3 , everything other than a handful of cool additions plays and feels better in 3 in my opinion. I don't understand why the game was changed so much. BF3 was so solid. Maybe I'm a bit butt-hurt I wasn't expecting such a drastic change and performance hit.

I am tempted to go back to BF3 right now. The maps were better and I felt the gun play and vehicles were better too.

It is sad since like you I have enjoyed each of the new Battlefields more and more as new instalments came out, but BF4 is the first one were I've thought... meh.

when i read this, you feel just like me when i've started playing BF4, but after some time you will start to like BF4 - the way it's play ect. this installment is more infantry based IMO, vehicles are very easy to take down and there is loads of small tweaks that you can or can't like

I have played for quite a while though. I'm at like rank 50 and I still get frustrated with the maps sometimes. Like I say I do enjoy 4 or 5 of the maps but the rest usually end up with me leaving to find another server. With BF3 that never happened, I could sit on a server and happily play all day.

I will agree that land based vehicles are easier to take down now, but when some maps have 4 tanks at spawn it kind of negates that fact.

I'll probably stick with it since I'e paid so much for it, all my friends are playing it and I like the look of the Second Assault maps.

I haven't played BF4 yet but it looks to me like it's a lot more vehicle-friendly? I remember BF3 got a lot of criticism when it came out for having too many small maps, it only really made everyone happy when they started adding more. I personally love the vehicle stuff so I found BF3 boring after a while and spent 99% of my time on Caspian Border and Operation Firestorm because they were the closest to the maps in BF2 and BF2142, but even they were a bit small.

Anyway, every Battlefield game has been a bit of a fuck up at launch IMO. BF3's balance was pretty much completely overhauled during the few months after it came out, so if you're pissed off with it maybe just come back in a while rather than totally making yourself hate it by continuing to play it.

It's not a bug, it's a feature because remember this?

your pc is probably long overdue for a reinstall then. if you get that many issues. or maybe you just don't deserve to play the pinnacle of videogames.

    I just called it

    Quote from SpronyvanJohnson

    In reference to me?

Because I can assure you my PC is up to it. Perhaps your pinnacle of videogames should have more news regarding it's awesomeness and less news regarding it's stability, crashes and netcode problems

To be fair I'm a big COD player and that issue constantly occurs in every COD game I'm ever played

There are indeed a whole bunch of people working on bugfixing so the game is getting more stable every day. Hopefully it'll be smooth for everyone soon.

ive played the beta of bf4 on pc and ive played bf4 on ps4 at a friends house. i srsly can not wrap my head around the fact that ea sold about 1.5 mln copies of a shity clone from a reasonably good game with no remarkable innovations. even bf3 was pretty shit compared to bad company 2. how the fuck does ea get away with this?

I don't understand why people think so highly of bad company 2. It was a good game, but clearly not better then bf3 and certainly not better than bf4. I've played 50 hours and did not encounter a lot of bugs. Some people just like to whine and jump in the hate towards EA (which is deserved)

Bf4 is such an amazing game. Even the worst bugs can't remove the fun I have playing it..

Bad Company 2 was damn fantastic and jumps up and down all over bf3 and bf4. I clocked over 260 hours of playtime with my friends and was one of the best multiplayer experiences I've had since bf2.

BC2 was pretty good. Ultimately, however, I think that it's shitty, shitty corridor maps with retarded chokes, destructable MCOMS and completely removable cover let it down.

Or nah, I liked defending MCOMS in lower elevation with zero cover to hide behind in Valparaiso base 3.

BC2 was all right. BF3 and especially BF2142 were better.

Sorry bro, I don't think this patch had that many crash or stability fixes, only some other stuff that was ready to go out. More patches are comming soon
