You can cheat on consoles fine, cheats can't get client side patches either unless the game forces you to use a Hard Drive - so it's a million times worse. GG Action Replay.

This would be very true if the content of the game was A) not checked by the xbox live software and B) not on the cd... I would agree that if the content was on the harddrive you could cheat but getting it passed the xbox live stuff would be very hard to do since its all hardcoded within the game. The HL engine had to be slammed up in a different file structure then normally used so i see no way as to how you could cheat.

I heard that there was 15 thousand people simoultaneously on x-box live playing csx the day it came out. Mac brought it home last night so I'll prolly get to play it next week and see if it's as bad as everyone is making it out to be.

Nightfire. Oh me oh my. I need a photo of me holding the replica gun Landon gave me, and the "trophy" plaque that EA sent us all. I hate James Bond.

I just spent awhile playing the single player, and watched someone play the multiplayer for awhile, and I have to say I think that it's a pretty stand up game, at least I don't think there would be much you could to to get cs onto a console any better than how it was done in csx. I thought the levels looked cool, the detail textures add a lot to make the surfaces seem higher resolution. I even saw plenty of rounds of dust and I think it looks just fine, there are a lot of cool details like vehicles and domes and things on the buildings that add a lot. And I did not spot the 20 foot tall barrel anywhere, and I was even keeping an eye out for it. I'm pretty sure that barrel was from an old screenshot before it's size was adjusted. I'm not a console or even x-box guy so I didn't do very well with the controls at first, but after about 5 minutes of playing I was doing well enough to get an even number of kills / deaths against the bots on beginner setting. I think the buy interface /gui they use is ingenious, and it makes buying your stuff 10 times easier than in the pc version.

OMG A MIS-ALIGNED TEXTURE. It's SOOOO rare to see those in games these days, I mean most other people have texture alignment alarms that go off above the office and rain down acid upon the artists while sirens and strobe lights capture the horror that is the misaligned texture.

you guys are the toughest critics I've met in my entire life. I see mis-aligned in every single game I play.
