Metal Gear Solid 5

Yeah, i just wanted to highlight how pointless is talk games on their size.

Someone has completed Ground Zeroes in 10 minutes.

Finished the main mission earlier today, it is pretty short but really good. It's great to play an MGS game with mechanics that aren't completely shite (Well, MGS4 was probably the first MGS game that didn't feel super awkward, but still). Love the way the character controls and feels when you're changing stances and sneaking around. The control default control scheme is still a bit odd tho, plus it looks great running at 60fps on PS4.
Way better than I expected, plus there's plenty of alternative missions that seem really cool, playing one that's taking place during daytime now. Might be a lot to pay for a relatively short experience, but so far I'd say it was worth it, and I didn't even finish any of the alternative missions.

Kojima really knows how to make a fucking trailer.
-
Really?; thought that was pretty weak, last one was better.
-
Oh absolutely, it's hard to beat the last one. But right now, it gave me just a little extra glimpse of what MGSV is going to be, it's a good spoiler safe trailer (for the most part) with an awesome music and camera cut. Shame we don't have a release date yet, but it looks to me this might very well be the best MGS ever man

Its says, the video is private

This.
MGS has always been a series u love or u just don't see the point. Once u get it it hooks you despite Kojima-san's eccentricity. His trailers work the same way. Coming 1984. What balls. Love it.

Having Kiefer do the voice of Snake is the stupiest decision ever made in the life of this whole franchise.
Also... THAT'S how you demo a fucking game, amazing man, thanks for sharing! I would have missed this otherwise.
-
Great demo! I just love that jump-slide-out-of-cardboard-box move, so cool!
Also this game is going to be so damn pretty.
-
Some of the most iconic MGS shit ever happening and they've got Snake voiced by Jack Bauer and Revolver Ocelot voiced by fucking Troy Baker. lol.
-
It just seems so bizarre. The original performances were iconic and have been consistent going right back to 1998. I've resigned myself to it happening now and I'm pretty sure I'll get into it after just 10 minutes of play, but I don't think I'll ever agree with it being the right decision.
What's really weird is that Troy Baker is seemingly just trying to emulate the original performance — so why not just use the damn original? It's like changing Homer Simpson's voice or something, after this long and this much fandom you just... don't.

Oh well, let's just enjoy some CLASSIC OCELOT:

That gamecube version of MGS looks pretty dope, never got around to play it.

-
They probably want to attract a wider and newer audience that never played a mgs game before, which would find Hayters voice acting super cheesy and not really up to par, it's mostly nostalgia and us so used to him voice acting snake that still make us want him to continue. It's kind of a dick move to us loyal fans, but at the same time i understand why they are changing things up a bit. To be fair, Sutherland is a pretty solid choice if anyone were to replace Hayter

me neither, want : <

It's great, if you've ever doing a marathon I'd seriously pick up a GameCube or Wii just to experience it. Some people think the cutscenes were a bit over-engineered, but I fucking love them. I'll always have a soft spot for MGS1 as it got me into the series way back in 1998, but the original really does look like ass in comparison:

What's weird is the voice acting is all way better even though it's mostly the same actors — it's really obvious with Revolver Ocelot in that video. Just an excellent remake that preserved everything great about the original and improved it in numerous ways IMO.
I hear you can get it running on Dolphin (GameCube emulator) in HD pretty well nowadays.

I've got to be completely honest, the voice acting in Metal Gear Solid 3 was so fucking atrocious, so awful, so gut-rendingly stupid, I quit playing the game. I felt like I was playing an anime created by a semi-braindead person. It's not that cute and its not that funny to hear somebody doing the corniest possible voice, I get it, its weird, its whatever. So dumb.
I'm glad they're doing something different.
